I walked up the large wooden steps holding y/n's hand in mine as I guided her into the green house.

"It smells like flowers" she giggled.

I chuckled and sat her down on the pillows.

"Okay you can take off your blindfold now" I smiled.

She untied it and set it next to her looking around in amazement.

"Baby this is so beautiful!" She chuckled.

The white lights twinkling in her eyes made me want her even more. I sat down next to her on the blanket grabbing some things for the picnic. She pecked my cheek and continued to look around the place. I handed her a glass of wine and some crackers and smiled back.

"I love you" she said.

"I love you too baby girl" I replied slowly leaning in to peck her soft lips.

I spilt the wine all over the blanket and we both gasped.

"Shit" I mumbled. "I'm sorry"

"It's okay Shawn" she giggled helping me clean it up.

I sighed and threw the dirty towel on the side.

"Can I retry that?" I chuckled nervously.

"Of course" she smiled leaning in pressing her lips on mine this time.

I chuckled when I let go and felt the ring almost fall out of my pocket. I quickly grabbed feeling my heart racing.

We finished up our dinner and I think it was a good time to do it. The lights are shining, she looks perfect, her lips pursed together as she played with her fingers.

"Erm y/n?" I said smiling.

She looked at me with glossy eyes and grinned.

"I have something to tell you" I said grabbing her hand standing her up.

She waited patiently waiting for me to speak.

"Okay"

"Okay so" I chuckled. "I've loved since we were 18. You mean the absolute world to me and I hope you'll be mine forever. But I need something to make that happen so..."

I grabbed the ring out of my pocket getting on one knee.

"Y/f/n, will you do the honors of becoming Mrs. Mendes and marrying me?" I chuckled nervously feeling myself getting sweaty.

She covered her mouth and nodded yes.

"Yes yes yes" she chuckled sniffling a little.

I slid on the ring feeling happiness fill my heart and mind. I chuckled engulfing her into a hug.

"I love you baby girl, forever and ever"
