He's jealous of Eli. The original hybrid would often wonder when you would see him for what he is. He thinks that you are too good for him and he thinks that you deserve much better. He knows that he is no Elijah. His brother is sweet, loyal, mature and so... nice. He can't help himself from thinking that one day you would realise your mistake of being with him and not Elijah. But none the less he loves you with everything that he is and he hopes that the two of you never end.

Elijah :

The loyal one...that's what everyone calls him. When people think of Elijah they think of words such as loyal, kind and rational. To himself he seemed quite boring. He always wondered why someone as free spirited as you would choose someone as mundane as him. He thinks that you deserve someone adventurous and lively...someone like Kol. You and Kol have a lot in common but he's not Elijah. And the only person that you need and want is your Elijah.

Oh please. It's Kol. He knows what he's worth. The only one he's jealous of is you because you don't need a mirror to see his sexy face and gorgeous bod.
