Chapter Five

"Hello Harlyn, we will start the meeting by introducing ourselves. I am Andrea, one of the eldest Elders. I have the power to give and take powers from Fae's along with the rest of us." The Lady with long white hair starts. "And I am Henry, the second eldest." They all give their names out, Cassandra, Victor, and Beth. They all the have same power which the got after they became the next elders, they all had a different power until they got promoted and now they only have the power to give and take powers away from Fae's. However with me they can't take mine and I also have the power to take away a fae's power. "So Miss Leon, your job as the True Fae is to be our next leader. It sounds like a huge job we know. But we know you are strong enough for the job. And with the proper training of learning how to control all the powers of which you have. We can be successful as a community." Victor explains. "Well this is a lot to put on me, but whatever it takes to protect and lead us light Fae's I'll do." I say with a shaky voice. "Thank you, do you have any questions for us?" Cassandra asks. "When do I start? Is there a rule book for me to go over or hold onto?" "Yes we have it here with us, Victor please hand Miss Leon the guidelines." Andrea orders. Victor brings a big book and sets it in front of me. "To let you know, you will catch a photographic memory. So memorising all the guidelines shouldn't be a big problem for you." Beth comments. "That's good to know, thank you." We finish up our conversation and end our dinner at that.

The Elders told me as I was leaving that I can choose who I want to be my co-leaders. Who will help me as I lead and make decisions. Emerson and Aspen were the first ones who came to mind. I've known them the longest, Emerson is my soul mate, Aspen is his sister who helped me get here. So I feel like I can have my trust in them. "Are you positive, I mean I know you've known us the longest out of everyone here, but do you really think we are strong enough to handle this job with you?" Aspen asks. "Yes I am sure, Emerson your healing powers will work wonders. And Aspen your Air powers can push our enemies away." I say reassuringly. "I guess you're right but I"ll be needing to practice my powers daily as are you and Emerson." Aspen suggests. "I agree one hundred percent." "We will get through whatever shall come our way. We just need to decide correctly on any and every situation." Emerson adds. "We haven't had leaders in years. Now are you ready for this?"Aspen looks at me with concern. "I hope so."

After talking to my mom and Jake on the phone I went straight to sleep. I'm dreaming but it doesn't involve just me and Emerson.

"They're here I can feel it the shadow is breaking." Victoria says looking down towards the ground completely terrified. My stomach drops. "What? They're early. We can't fight a battle we aren't ready for." I say freaking out. Emerson grabs my face. "Baby, we are ready. You can control most of the powers that you can use to fight Fae's with. Aspen's air powers are more adapted than they've ever been, and our Light Fae Warriors have been training non-stop. So don't give up now." He says looking me straight in the eyes. "Call Aspen and get her down here, we've got a battle to win." Emerson urges Tucker to do.

"They are getting closer." Julian announces. "Okay, everyone take your positions." Emerson shouts. I look up and see the Dark Fae's growing closer and the shadow is gone. They land on the ground in their human form. "We've come for you Harlyn Leon. Either sacrifice yourself or your community dies." A girl with a sick voice announces. "There is no way in hell I am going anywhere with you." I snap. "Very well then. Dark Fae's attack!" The girl shouts. Dark Fae's start using their powers to fight against us and us Light Fae's use our powers so fight back. Using all our energy to push them back. The girl comes by me. Forcing her fire onto me. I use my water powers shooting her full force throwing her back a good ten feet. "Wow, you are as strong as they say you are." She says. "Excuse me?" My confused voice responds. "Oh nothing you should be worried about, I've got my eyes and you have yours." Her evil laugh fills my ears. I use my levitation powers to pick the girl up and stop her from using her power. "Now darling you either tell me what you meant by what you have been saying, or you will be deactivated." I threat. "K-"
