Off the shores of South Carolina lived a boy named Charles McKinley. Everyday he would play with his best friend Mary. They loved to play by the ocean, they would collect shells and build sandcastles everyday. But Mary was cursed she could never leave the sea and soon she would become a mermaid. Soon their friendship turned into love. Mary told Charles that she was cursed but she could be freed from this wicked curse by true loves kiss. Charles loved Mary and would do anything to save her. But greed took over his heart. He met a girl named Wendy he never truly loved her. He loved her wealth and status. Charles married Wendy and never went back to Mary. Mary waited every day on the rock by the sea for her true love. Until it was too late. Her legs were replaced with a tail, her once golden hair become as blue as the sea. Her heart once filled with love and hope was now filled with jealousy and hatred. The curse came with powers as well. She became the queen of the Atlantic Ocean. And Every day that passed Mary grew and grew more jealous of Charles and wants revenge.
