Toby's POV
I'm sitting here talking with Spencer we are having a great conversation and then she asks me "We're friends right?"
I think to myself of course we are
"Yeah, we are best friends, why?"
"I just wanted to ask you a question, where did we go wrong?" I knew she would ask me that one day. To be honest I don't really know where we went wrong. We were madly in love, but we were drifting apart. I loved Spencer so much but it hurt being apart too much, I broke up with her because I thought that's what was best. I can't give her that answer though, she won't accept it.
"Spence I honestly don't know"
"I thought we were doing fine, I mean we've worked through our problems before."
"I guess it was a problem we couldn't have worked out, can we change the subject?" I don't really want to talk about this I might admit my feelings for her.
"Toby we're gonna have to face it sooner or later, if we want to still be friends we need to talk about it"
"Ok true"
"Toby I think I might need closure, we are never getting back together right?"
"Spence I have a girlfriend"
"I know but I need to hear you say we are never getting back together"
"Fine, we are never getting back together" I didn't want to say it because I still do have feelings for her.
"Thank you"
"Spence, now I have a question, do you still love me?"
"Why?"
"Just curious"
"I guess in some way yes I do, I think everybody always has some love for their first love but don't worry I won't come between you and Yvonne." She does still love me. Should I tell her I still have feelings for her? Nah I guess I shouldn't.
"I know you won't spence, we're just best friends" She smiles.
"So want to watch a movie?"
"Sure ba-" I almost said babe. "I mean best friend"
We watch the movie it was pretty good. Now it's time for me to go.
"I really enjoyed hanging out with you spence"
"So did I" I lean in and I peck her on the lips. Then we look into each other's eyes and I lean in again and we kiss passionately for a little bit.
" I missed those lips"I say and Spencer giggles. "Sorry it's just gonna have to take me a while to get used to, us just being friends"
" I understand well byeToby"
I walk out and walk to my car. Wow kissing Spencer just made me feel a spark, I don't feel that way when I kiss Yvonne. But I can't do this, I'm dating Yvonne.
