Even in her half-drunken like state, Neeran didn't meet a single other person and she stumbled out of town to her and back to the place of residence that she and Zach had established in the dying days of the Clone Wars.

But she did not, would not, go inside.

Instead, Neeran sat down on the small rise situated off to the side out the front of their place.

"You're a mess," said a very familiar voice.

Neeran raised her head enough to look at the shimmering form of Zach though the bangs of her hair as he sat down beside her. Neeran returned her gaze to the ground without a reply.

"I'm guessing you didn't run into anyone," continued Zach as Neeran reached behind her for her ocarina. "Otherwise, we probably wouldn't be sitting here, and we'd be having a very different conversation."

Neeran grunted a response but still said nothing.
"Even though you do look drunk."
"The luck of the drunk," muttered Neeran, pulling the ocarina in front of her. "Never underestimate it."

"Only," said Zach. "I know you've never drunken anything like that."

Neeran smiled sadly at his jibe as she began a song from a web series she and Zach had watched a very long time ago.
'Contact'.
The theme song from Red vs Blue, Season 11-13, the Chorus Trilogy, originally preformed by Trocadero.

(Only plays the whistling the bit at the beginning of the song.)

Neeran cut off abruptly and collapsed into tears, the ocarina forgotten beside her as she cried her heart out atop the small rise out the front of their residence on Lothal.

"Why?" said Neeran. "Why is it all happening again? Why can't it just stop?!"

Zach knew better than to say anything to her, especially considering that their friendship had only just been re-healed. Neeran was emotionally unstable at that point and Zach knew it.

He'd just have to wait for it to pass.

As Zach continued to watch her, Neeran began think of a way to change what had happened for the last three years in the galaxy.

"Will you help me?" asked Neeran, glancing over at Zach with her tear stained face. "One more time?"

Zach was weary of what Neeran was likely to as him and asked,"To do what?"
"Fix our mistake."

Zach had no denying that mistakes had been made in their life time, but he was entirely such that this was one such mistake.

"Okay."

Neeran breathed a sigh of relief and whispered, "Thank you."
Zach nodded as Neeran entered a trance and began to rewrite the memories over everyone in the galaxy for the last three years.

Neeran had no difficulty with the last year that they had just lived through, but as she began the second year, when Ezra would have been five turning six, she began to face some difficulties.

It became harder and harder to maintain the stream of memories from every being in the galaxy and she felt some slip through her grasp.
Until a hand was placed on her shoulder, and she and Zach both continued on into the third and final year of having been with their Ezra.

And then, in that instant, their present was ultimately changed.

Nothing that had happened in the last three years since the day Neeran had met and rescued Ezra had happened at all and no one knew any different.
Only Neeran and Zach thought that they knew the truth, but Neeran and Zach didn't realise that they'd inevitably missed some in their attempt to erase everything that had happened with Ezra.

But they had done enough.

And now Neeran and Zach really needed to sleep...
