Amidst the depths of Takobo's corrupted major space trading port, a ship was docked after having just delivered its cargo and was awaiting its next orders when it was approached by a darkly cloaked figure.

"Who are you?" asked Xylitol raising his blaster rifle that could also be converted into a sniper rifle. He was the second-in-command aboard the smuggling-pirate ship Dark Jewel.
"I'm here to speak with the crew of the Dark Jewel," said the girl. "Without your captain."

Xylitol looked at his friend and the rest of the crew before lowering his weapon slightly and saying,
"Speak, we'll hear you out for now."

What she did next confused the crew.

"What is it you all most desire?"

She was greeted with a mix of laughter and confused stares. Xylitol no longer really saw her as a threat and completely lowered his weapon.
"What kind of a question is that?" he asked. "Everyone desires something different. Me? I want this ship and its crew under my command, but that ain't gonna happen with the current captain in charge now is it?"
"I know how to fix that. I know what you desire more though," said the girl. "What every mortal desires most."
"Oh yeah?" asked Xylitol challengingly.
The girl nodded.
"What?"
"Immortality."

Xylitol and the rest of the crew laughed again, only louder this time, at the girl, until Xylitol noticed that she was serious.
"You're kidding? Immortality sounds nice but it's just a myth. No one can live forever."
"Didn't she just call us mortals?" suddenly asked Xylitol's close friend Regno West, a real cowboy of a man. Meaning behind the woman's words sunk in and he stared at her just standing there, her face in shadows below the cowl of her hood and a broad smirk across her face.

"That's right. I am an Immortal. And all of you can be too."
