My breathing hitched.
He just admitted to being attracted to me.
"Please don't." I say as I get up, walking towards the front door to escape to Laney's house.
He stays quiet as he goes back upstairs where I hear my mum giggle as the door slams shut.
I walk out, calling Laney.
"I'm coming over, i'll be there in 5 minutes."
"Okay, hurryyyyyy." she drags out the 'y' as she shouts into the microphone.
We hang up and by the time I do that and put my phone away I'm on her front porch.
She swings the door open, no pants on and her hair in a messy bun.
"Get in here!!!" she practically pulls me through the door and pushes me to her dining room table.
"What has been happening?!"
"I don't even know. I just needed out of there."
"Well you are welcome to stay here."
"Thank you."
"My mum wants you to move in anyways." she laughs and smiles reassuringly at me.
"I know she does."
We sit for hours and gossip about everyone that we know and what their lives are like because of social media.
Then I get a text.
Luke: You need to come home.
Me: You aren't my parent.
Luke: Not yet.
Me: Well until then, suck my dick.
Laney laughs at my last text to him.
"Gurl, you didn't."
