Pregnant With The Nerds Baby

I wake up bright and early. 5:30 I usually don't get up until 6:30 but today I'm so excited that I couldn't sleep.

Today is my 5 month or 20 week appointment. At my 4 month appointment I couldn't see the sex of the baby because they had their legs closed, So today I'm really hoping that I can see.

I can't contain my excitement. I start humming a song as I get into the shower. I look down at my baby bump and giggle, It's getting so big. I can barely see my feet now.

I find a really cute outfit to wear a nice pretty blue dress that's flowy and long. It's a sun dress so I pair it with a pair of sandals. I do my hair in a side braid. I'm glad I live in California so it's always hot, I can't stand the cold weather.

I grab my bag and head downstairs. I still have about 30 minutes before I have to leave so I heat up some oatmeal. Isabelle isn't up this early so there's not a huge breakfast waiting for me.

My dad's wedding is tomorrow, Miranda wants me to be a bridesmaid. So I have to wear the dress that she has picked out, but of course I can't because it will show my bump. So I'm going to have to figure something out.

My dad's only going on a 3 day honeymoon so I can tell him right after. I can't believe how long I've put off telling him.

I get done eating my breakfast and head out the door. Maria hasn't picked me up in a while since I usally pick up Zack now.

I drive to Zack's house and see him waiting outside. He doesn't look like himself today, he looks upset.

"Hey" he says as he gets into my car

"You okay?" I ask

"Yeah, just drama with my mom."

"Did you tell her?"

"I'm going to tonight."

"Okay" I say and start driving to school

"You look nice by the way " Zack says

"Awe thanks." I say and blush

Zack just turns his head away from me.

I get to school quickly and park my car in my usual spot. I see Maria's car already parked next to mine, Good thing she's already here.

"Hey." I get greeted by Maria as soon as I entered the school

"Hi." I say with a grin

"Why do you look so happy?"

"I get to find out what the baby is today?"

"Oh my god!! I so hope it's a girl."

"Me too." I say and we both smile.

I really do hope it's a girl. I've always dreamt about having a baby girl. I always thought I would be older when it happened but things always happen for a reason. I've really started to see this baby as a blessing.

I walk to my first period class. I'm not thinking about school all my thoughts are focused on my baby.

I walk into class, not really caring about today. I just want this day to be over with, I really can't stand coming to school anymore.

The day seems to drag by slowly, I'm so grateful when I hear the last bell.

I find him by his locker.

"Hurry up" I say in a teasing voice

"Dont worry I am." Zack says

"Ready to find out?"

"Ready as ever!"

We get into my car and drive to the doctor. Of course it felt like an hour drive when it really was only a 10 minute drive.

I pull into the doctors office parking lot and practically run out of the car. This is my first appointment that I'm not nervous for, Since we have decided to keep the baby I'm so excited about it.

I sign in and sit and wait for my name to be called.

"Ashley Smith." I hear my name and go back to my room

I wait patiently for the doctor.

"Hello Ashley." Dr Wright says as she walks in

"Hi" I say

"You guys look excited."

"We are." Zack says

"Ashley lay back and we'll take a look at the baby."

I lay back and pull my dress up. The doctor puts jel on my stomach and moves the thing around my belly.

"Look at your baby. Growing fast as can be." Dr Wright says "want to know the sex?"

"Yes!!" Me and Zack say in unison

"Well let's see.. It looks like your having a ... "
