Your head throbbed. You lifted your head. There was no trace of any wounds but that was impossible. You had lost so much blood and your skull must have been cracked open.

You reach to your head. Your (haire length) (hair color)hair was covered in blood. It hadn't dried yet.
It doesn't make sense. How could you be alive? Not that you were complaining.

You had barely stayed conscious twenty seconds, how could you still be alive? Unless....
"Steve?"
"Yes?" Steve answered.
"What happened? Am I dead and if I am why is my head throbbing so much?"

Stupid! You're not dead, obviously!

"You aren't dead. I nursed the wound on your head the best I could for the whole time you were unconscious then about a minute later, your wound healed and so did your arm. You're alive."

You tried opening your eyes. Your eyelids were stuck together with dried blood.

You forced them open, ignoring the pain that made your eyes water.

Steve had brought a bandage from his back pack and had finished wrapping it around the wound.

"There's no need for that I am healed but thanks anyway."

You stood up, ignoring your throbbing head and walked towards the nearest door where all the soldiers had came from.

You let Steve know that he would burst the door open by waving your hand at him then at the door.

The door burst open, reeling a lab filled with many soldiers.

Steve throw his shield making most of them topple over but the last one managed to grab the shield probably because it had decreased speed and was easier to catch with that advantage. You knew Steve or captain would need it. Your mission: get it back.

While the man was still bewildered he had caught the shield, you slipped a hand around his left ankle and yanked it from underneath him. His head fell on the floor with a sickening crack. You grabbed it and threw it to Steve who had just knocked out a soldier but had his hand outstretched to grab the shield.
He grabbed it.
You were about to turn around sharply when a circular pressure was placed over your heart. You stopped moving.

A deep voice said "Captain America. Let the shield down and surrender or the girl dies."
Before Steve could do anything you quickly gave an answer who had had been asked on many situations before this one :
"What makes you think I am important to him?"
Steve eyes widened.
You knew they didn't need you dead. If they did, they couldn't be attacking you individually and in small groups. They would be aiming at your head's and heart's rather than your legs.

A moment's hesitation could be felt because the pressure from the gun had released from your pullover. You quickly used this opportunity. You kicked the man where it would hurt. You quickly drove your elbow in the nose. It started bleeding.

You snatched the gun from the soldier's hand and pointed it at his head. He was lying on the ground whimpering.
"Now, If you'll excuse us, we will leave, me and my coworker..." Coworker was definitely not the right name for him but saying boyfriend would be far to informative.
"...if you try to stop us your coworker dies. And Captain grab a better weapon."
He did as he was told. The word captain seemed foreign through your lips. You grabbed the man's tie and dragged him with it. He would have to walk himself if he didn't want to get strangle.

Steve was staring at you. At the confidence and authority you inspired.
Experience, elegance and refinement was glowing from you every step.
His breath became uneven. Coworker. Surely, he wasn't only that in your eyes. Was he?
