Chapter Twenty-Eight // {jordan's pov}

A/N: Major(ish) part of the show was changed to fit my storyline -- Carol being dead (kinda regret that tbh, love her so much). Don't get mad at the character change because I kinda hate it too, but it'll work out... *evil smirk* Anywho, enjoy! xx

"Alright, got four of them pricks coming our way," Daryl called out to us all. Luckily, I had the knife with me still. Everyone else had used their belts in order to make weapons and right now, we're about to use them. I stood beside Rick, ready for anyone or anything.

"Y'all know what to do. Go for their eyes first, then their throats, alright?" Rick repeated our plan. A chorus of okay's replied to Rick, making him give everyone a firm nod.

"Put your backs to the walls on either side of the car now!" a man screamed from outside. No one made an effort to move.

All of a sudden, the train cart's roof opened and cans were thrown into the cart. A gas poured out of all the cans, making me cough and splutter. I reached for Rick, but someone threw me to the ground, my head hitting the cart's wall.

"Rick!" I screamed out in pain. No reply.

The train cart's door was open now and I could see people dragging our people. I sobbed, carefully touching the place on my head that hit the wall. I flinched as my finger grazed over the area.

It felt wet.

I pulled my hand back and my hand was covered with blood. I gasped.

"Jordan?" a voice spoke sounding panicked.

"H-.. here. Over here..." I managed to get out. I stared at my hand in shock. How could so much blood come out in such a short amount of time.

Maggie appeared in front of me, she crouched down and noticed my staring.

Her eyes followed where I was looking.

"Oh god.. Is that yours?" she asked, looking at me. I nodded, frowning a little.

"Shit -- guys! Quick, Jordan's bleeding a lot!" Maggie yelled out to everyone who was recovering from the gas.

Abraham strode over with Eugene safely beside him.

Maggie grabbed part of Eugene's sleeve and tore some of the fabric off.

"Hey!" he said frowning.

"Okay, Jordan, how're you feelin' right now?" Maggie questioned as she wrapped the fabric around my head.

"It hurts.. Uhh... I-.. I just want to sleep," I told Maggie, glancing up at her. I blinked a few times to keep my eyes from drooping and falling asleep.

She hummed a reply and neatly tied a knot, keeping the fabric from falling off.

"We need to monitor her, if she ever seems out of it, tell me. She definitely has a concussion. Make sure she doesn't fall asleep. Hopefully the bleeding will stop shortly," Maggie told everyone smoothly with confidence. I gave her a lazy smile as a thank you.

"It'll be alright, just don't stress yourself, okay?" she reassured me.

"Than-.. Where's Rick? Daryl? Glenn!? Where's everyone!" I panicked, looking around the train cart for the missing faces.

Maggie looked at me with sad eyes.

"They took them..." she mumbled before adding, "they're okay though. They always are."
