At school the next day, I couldn't help but think of what Maddie told me on the phone yesterday. You should just go out with him, maybe that's what he wants. Like it was that easy.
There was no way I was planning on going out with a guy who would probably move onto the next girl after he got me into bed. No, thanks. I clutched some school books in my hands, covering my stomach. I mentally sighed as it was another Friday and another day in this school where nobody talked to me.
Maybe that was a good thing.
I finally located my locker and put in the combination, after I stuffed my books from first period in without a second thought. Everyone was running to their lockers before the next bell while I was just chilling without any thought to hurry up.
I heard a faint locker shut next to mine, I looked over to see a pretty blond smile at me. "Can I help you?"
She continued to smile at me like we've known each other our entire lives. She chuckled. "You're the new girl, right?"
I shrugged, closing my locker shut but forgetting my books for the next class I had, I placed my hand on the lock and nodded. "Sorta, it's been a few weeks."
"I'm Molly, by the way." She extended her hand and I shook it just before I did my combination again.
"Penelope." I said in reply.
She seemed the popular type, like me before I turned into a drunk, and the one who held all of the parties and went out with every guy on the football team. That used to be me, I was looking at the reflection of the old me before I moved here.
"So, Penelope," she said as I reopened my locker to get my books out just as the bell rung, "what class do you have, maybe we can walk together?"
I smiled at her and think of what I had for my next class, Math? English? No.
"Physics." I said flatly, not wanting it to be true.
She grinned. "I have Chemistry, it's just across the hall."
I slammed my locker shut again and walked with Molly to our next class and I couldn't help but want to ask if she knew Zack but, I controlled myself. Once we arrived, she turned to me. "Wanna eat at lunch and meet some of my other friends?" I turned my head slightly to see Zack staring at the two of us, but Molly didn't seem to notice. He didn't look to happy and I wondered why.
I nodded forgetting about Zack, smiling that someone didn't actually think I was a freak. "Sure, see you then." I replied with a smile.
We both departed from each other and I sat in Physics, thinking about Molly and her interest in me because let's face it, I was still the new girl with secrets that nobody knew.

The next few periods went along quite well, I got partnered up with a nice guy called Nash and he knew his stuff. I'd say he was the geek of the class, which was awesome. I was becoming the girl everyone wanted to talk to and it was getting all too much. "I'll see you later, Nash." I quickly said as I quickly raced out the door just as the bell rung. Phew, getting too close for a second.
Lunch came around quickly and I spotted Molly from across the room. Before I even got the chance to move, Zack appeared in front of me with Gray watching from a distance.
"Zack, move!" I said in an angry manner. Seriously? This guy was looking for a punch in the face.
He sighed and placed his hands up in surrender. "I just wanna know why you were talking to Molly."
I frowned in an instant as he mentioned Molly's name. So they did know each other. "I don't need your permission to talk to anyone."
