Maya's POV

She was such an idiot.

Why had she told Riley about this? Now she was smiling like she had won 1.000.000$.

"THAT'S SO AWESOME", she finally said.

Maya laughed softly.

"Yeah, pretty much."

"Are you happy?", Riley asked.

Maya had to think about that. Was she?

Katy and Shawn were trying to be friendly and all for her but that would never be enough. Overthinking things and situations was never something Maya did, but she had spent whole nights thinking about Katy and Shawn, now that she had the time.

She didn't blame Shawn for one second. Was she really any different?

And what happened with Josh...

She loved him. After all these years, she did. She had tried so hard to built some walls, to block him out. That was what she was doing for three years. She had actually thought that she had fixed herself. So, how come he broke her walls so easily?

Because he did. He broke her walls and he could do it again and again and again. WIth a breath, with a touch, with a snap of his fingers.

And the best part was that he loved her too. It was that she could also break his walls. Not thinking about it, not planning on it but she could.

"I think.", she whispered.

Riley wrapped her arms around Maya and trapped her in a tight hug.

"I'm so happy for you", she murmured.

Maya smiled, as the two girls pulled away.

"Thanks, RIles. It means a lot.", she said and then added, "How are the things with Lucas?"

Riley's face was actual proof that that girl would never change.

"He kissed me.", she said.

Maya's eyes widened.

"You're kidding.", she said, as a huge smile was forming on her face.

Riley laughed nervously.

"Nope"

Maya got up and started jumping up and down.

"HUCKLEBERRY KISSED YOU!", she yelled.

"Shut up!", Riley yelled too.

And then there was a tap on the window.

"Ladies."

"Farkle."

Riley opened the window and Farkle got in.

"I saw your uncle coming", he said, "If my maths are right, and they always are, he will be here in six seconds."

Maya and and RIley exchanged a glance.

"Five", Farkle continued looking at his clock. "Four"

The girls sat on RIley's bed.

"Three"

RIley fixed Maya's hair with her hand.

"Two"

Maya took a deep breath.

"One."

The door opened and Josh got in the room with two girls behind him.
