Alice's pov

"Get up Alice!" Moms arms pull my leg.

"Uhh- please don't make me get up!"

"Up!" She gives my leg one big jerk and I'm on the floor with covers and pillows on top of me.

"Hey this is pretty comfy too."

"Alice you better get up." As soon as mom uses her 'mad' voice, I'm up on my feet.

I walk to the bathroom and look in the mirror.

I told Josh to meet us here at 12:00.

I hope he's here on time.

Will mom like his pinkish red hair?

I hope mom likes him, she has very high standards.

My brain won't stop over thinking.

I begin to brush my hair and teeth as Mom walks into the bathroom and starts to do her makeup.

"What are you going to wear sweetie?"

"I don't know. I told Josh to dress nice."

"You should wear that black dress I bought you for homecoming, that you didn't even go to." She grins.

The think she's crazy, and she must see it on my face.

"I know Lilly packed it for you."

"It's cold outside!"

"With beauty, comes pain. Just wear that long black coat I got you! Oh and you have those cute black heels!"

"No heels."

"C'mon there short too!"

"No."

"Do it for your mom." She gives me her stupid puppy dog face and I cave.

"Maybe, if I can learn to walk in them."

She finishes her makeup by applying a coat of brownish pink lipstick.

"Why don't you let me do your makeup!?" She gets all excited.

"If you promise not to use that brown lipstick, I'm in."

"Hey what's wrong with my lipstick!"

"I don't like it." I give her my puppy dog face and she breaks as easily as I did.

"Ok. I have a pink one I can use instead."

I sit down on the toilet and she starts to apply what I'm guessing is foundation.

"I'm going to do really light makeup, you really don't need makeup. You got your good looks from me." She chatters.

"I know, I know."

"And a little pink lipstick. And done!"

Mom grins.

"You really are beautiful. C'mon look in the mirror!" She grabs my arm and pulls me up.

Woah.

Moms much better at makeup than I am.

"Do you like it? I barely put anything on. All that beauty you see is you."

"Thanks mom."

I kiss her on the cheek and run to the bedroom closet.

My black dress And high heels are sitting in the hollow closet.

I rip it off the hanger and put it on. I sit down on the bed and put my heels on.

"Are you ready? Come here, Let me see you!"
