*Mission Impossible theme plays in the backround while Pippin flips around and hides behind bushes and trees all stealth like*

"Pippin please cut that out!" Frodo grabbed his cousin by the shoulder as he attempted to hide behind another bush.

"You're ruining my cool Frodo!" Pippin complained.

"You're going to blow our cover!"
Frodo released him and grabbed Pippin's ipod from his pocket.

"And turn this racket off!"

"The Mission Impossible soundtrack is not 'racket' Frodo. It is a music masterpiece!"

"Whatever. Everyone knows that The Matrix soundtrack is way better."

Bilbo joined in the conversation.

"I prefer music by that one composer." Primrose said. "I think his name is Howie Shore but I'm not sure."

"I like the Goonies." Sam piped in.

"We're talking about music Sam. Not movies." Frodo said.

"I know. I like the soundtrack for the Goonies."

"You're all daft! The Hunger Games has the best music." Esmerelda finished off the stick of cotton candy she had been snacking on.

"Can we focus guys? We've already lost track of Merry." Frodo groaned.

"Well, we're near Rivendell. Why don't we stop there for a rest?" Bilbo suggested.
"Who knows? Maybe Merry stopped there."

The others agreed that it was a good idea. They followed Bilbo to the Hidden Valley.

*The hobbits arrived at the entrance of Rivendell where a large sign reads*

"Welcome to Rivendell. The Not So Hidden Valley."

Bilbo read.

"That's new."

They followed Bilbo to the entrance of Elrond's house.

The Lord of Imladris was waiting for them.

"Welcome. I was not expecting to see any more hobbits pass this way."

"What do you mean, 'more hobbits?'" Primrose asked.

"Merry just passed through here not too long ago." Elrond explained. "He said he was on his way to Mirkwood."

"Mirkwood?!?!" all the hobbits exclaimed except for Pippin who was looking up at the sky again.

"That cloud looks just like a horse." he commented.

"Why on Middle Earth would he be going to Mirkwood?" Frodo asked in disbelief.

"Maybe he's going to visit Legolas?" Sam suggested.

"Are you kidding?" Bilbo said. "Have you seen how Legolas has been acting lately?"

"Maybe he's going to talk some sense into him." Primrose said half joking.

Esmerelda had dropped out of the conversation and was enjoying some sunflower seeds.

Pippin finally looked away from the cloud he had been looking at and noticed a small puff of black fur running towards him.

"ACK! LIVING FUR BALL!"

Pippin leaped into Frodo's arm and wrapped his hands around his neck.

Lindir suddenly appeared and grabbed the black ball of fur.

"ThunderPuff! You naughty kitten!" he scolded the fur which apparently was a kitten.

"ThunderPuff?" Esmerelda turned to Elrond.
"Explain. Now."

Elornd sighed.

"Lindir was having self-esteem issues. So I got him a kitten."

Linder held up the small black kitten proudly.

"This is ThunderPuff."

"You got a kitten and you named it ThuderPuff?" Bilbo asked.

"What else would you name a kitten?" Lindir asked.

"I think he's cute." Primrose stroked ThunderPuff on the head.

"It's not a living ball of fur Pippin." Frodo told his cousin.

"I see that now." he replied.

"You can let go of me now."

"Oh. Ok."

Pippin let go and crashed to the floor.

Frodo sighed and shook his head.

"Why don't you rest here for tonight?" Elrond suggested.

"We'll only rest for a little bit. Then we're going to keep following Merry." Sam said.

"Alright then." said Primrose. "We leave in an hour."
