***Charlie's P. O. V.***

"Charlie!!!" Nathan yells excitedly.

"What?" I yell back, looking up from my Kindle.

"It's here!"

"Really?!" I say, jumping up from my chair.

"Help me get it inside!"

"I'm coming!"

I run downstairs to Nathan, who's holding the door open and trying to lift a huge package and get it in the house.

"Don't strain yourself, babe," I say, taking his place and picking up the package.

I drag it into the living room while Nathan goes and gets a pair of scissors to open it.

"Do you really want to do it right now?" I ask.

"Why would we wait?! I have an ovulation calendar going so I'd know exactly what day to do is, and it coincidentally happens to be the perfect day! It's fate!"

He sliced open the box to reveal a large metal tank. It has a bunch of warnings written on it.

"I'm gonna take this into the bathroom and do it," Nathan says confidently.

"Do you need help?" I ask.

"No, I think I can figure it out by myself," he says.

"Okay. Leave the door unlocked just in case, though. I'll come in if you need me to."

He nods and drags the equipment into the bathroom. I can hear him rifling around, but I try to give him his privacy and not listen on purpose. I hear him hiss in discomfort, and I cringe. Another man's sperm is going into him. I hate the idea of it, honestly. It makes me. . . jealous, I guess.

He comes out blushing.

"Are you okay?" I ask, genuinely concerned.

"Yeah, it's just weird," he shrugs.

I gesture for him to come sit on my lap.

"Do you feel any different?" I question.

"Not really, although I do feel kind of nauseous. I've heard that people feel that way when it's working, though!"

"So you could be pregnant right now?"

"Yeah," he nods, his cheeks turning pink again. "It's strange to think about."

I smile, "Well, I guess we'll know within a few days, right?"

"I should wait like a week, and then take a test."

"Okay, good. I can't wait," I ruffle his ears and kiss his cute nose.

***Nathan's P. O. V.***

"Guess what, Daddy and Papa?!" I say on the phone later that night.

"What?" they ask in response.

"The stuff came!!!"

Dad gasps, "Really?! It did?!"

"Mhm! I already, ahem, put it. . . in me," I cough awkwardly. "So we should know within a week if it worked! But I'm really hopeful because I feel sick, which is how it is sometimes when it works."

"That's great!" Papa says. "I'm gonna possibly have another grandkid soon!"

I bite my lip before grinning widely. I love how exciting this is. I'm just so happy.

"If it's a girl I want to paint the room purple and white," I say to Charlie as we wash dishes.

"And what about for a boy?" my mate asks.

"Probably green and white. I want it to be cute, but not too much. You get what I'm saying?"

"Totally. What color furniture should we get?" he asks.

The best part is I know that he couldn't care less what color furniture we get, but he knows that it'll make me happy if he asks me about it.

"Black. It makes for a nice contrast. I was thinking I could do a handprint/footprint portrait too once the baby is born. It'd be adorable," I say.

"Sounds cool. We can do whatever you want," Charlie replies.

~~~~~~~~~~
I exhale shakily as I hold the pregnancy test in my hand. I just took it, and now I have to wait. I pray quietly, asking for it to be positive. It has to be. It just has to!
I hold my breath as the result shows. I can't believe it. . .
