The Unexpected

The ball was well underway. Preparations were being made but the ball wasn't until a few more weeks.

Tonight, I was patrolling alone.

Walking through one of the corridors, I saw Zero using the wall to support himself.

"Are you alright Zero?" I asked. His behavior was strangle. He would only be acting like this if....

"It's nothing," Zero strained.

"You need blood..have you taken the blood tablets?" I took the silence as a no. I was only going to do this once and only once. He was dear to Yuki after all, although she won't admit it. I started to loosen my tie.

"Zero, drink." I bluntly stated.

"No..I can't" Zero was surprised the I offered.

"Just take some of my blood. We can't have you fall to a level e can we? I can't let you do that before you tell Yuki your feelings for her," I singed, slightly trading him.

I guess that was enough for him to agree. He cautiously approached me. I moved my hair out of the way and readjusted my cloak so he could bite me.

I slightly winced as his fangs punctured me neck. I could feel my blood leaving my body. Soon after I started to feel light headed.

Third Person POV
A sweet alluring smell of blood secreted through the air. This mouth watering scent alarmed students of the night class, but wondered who it came from. Amongst the vampires, two students were extremely alarmed.

Senri POV
This...this scent is Akahina's! Knowing that it was hers, he darted out of class, leaving his classmates murmur about his sudden action.

Kaname POV
This scent smells like her. I followed after Senri as he dashed out of the classroom.

He knows something.

Akahina POV
"Zero..stop" I softly whispered. I didn't have the strength to push him away.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" An angry Senri arrived to the scene. Just in time for him to catch my tired body.

"It's alright, Senri." I cupped his face to reassure him before fainting in his arms from the blood loss.

Third Person POV
In the shadows was a certain pureblood watching the scene. He watched as Senri carried Akahina towards the infirmary. Senri was too enraged to notice the lurking pureblood. One thing that caught the attention of the pureblood was a certain piece of jewelry that rested on her neck.

Could it be?

Kaname POV
I could only catch a glimpse of a piece of jewelry on her neck. It was hard to make out since Senri used his vampire speed to take her to the infirmary. But I simply got a glimpse of something purple?

"Did her blood taste good Kiriyu?" I narrowed my eyes down upon him.

TIME SKIP
I was bitten huh?
I was yet again floating in an abyss.
Maybe this time a memory will float back. But why would a single bite trigger yet again another memory?
A various display of memories are unraveling from what looked like a coil of cinema clips.

I wonder what shall flash before me.

The coil of cinema stopped on one very memory. There was a boy with my younger self. I couldn't see his face. There was no sound. My younger self seemed extremely delighted to see him.

Who is he.

My eyes fluttered open. My eyes took a few seconds to adjust to the bright lights in the room I was in.

Strange. What was that memory suppose to represent? I couldn't help but ponder.

I saw Senri resting on my bedside asleep with a stick of pocky still hanging off his mouth. I couldn't help but chuckle.
