On one snowy day, laughter can be heard in the Kuran manor, specifically in the basement. What was in the room with no windows? What lies in that room that was so carefully sheltered were the beloved daughters of Juri and Hakura Kuran.
Akahina POV
I stared at my younger sister and older brother as they interacted with each other. Yuki was always so happy to see Kaname. Seeing her happy always made me smile.
I loved them both dearly, but I noticed I started to forget some of our memories together.
I didn't want to be worrisome so I kept quiet. I couldn't break this beautiful scene before me.
I was brought back into reality when Yuki was shaking my arm.
"Onii chan! Can you sing me a song? Pretty please?" Yuki begged with puppy dog eyes. How could I say no to my beloved sister? With a smile I began to sing her favorite song, (I can't include link but it's a short song, you can search for it on YouTube -Lyras song fairy tail)
Umareru kotoba
Kieyuku kotoba
Anata no naka ni
Ikitsuzukeru kotoba
Tachchidomari sono toki
Yuuki he to kawaru
Saa arukidasou
Ano toki yori
Anata wo tsuyoku natteiru kara
Mou mayowanaide
Ano toki no kotoba wo
Shinjite
As I finished singing, I noticed Yuki fell asleep. My dear sister, sleep well.
I gently handed her to Kaname, so he could place her in bed.
Hakura and Juri thanked me for singing the beautiful song as it seemed to be the only method that allowed Yuki to peacefully sleep since Uncle Rido seems to be protruding her dreams. This was the only time I was allowed to see Yuki. After realizing my capabilities with magic, I was forced to live separately from Yuki. I was deemed too delicate to be in her presence. The times I have seen her, each times, her memories of me began to wither. And so, as she completely forgot about me, so did the others.
I lived in the room that resided next to Yuki's, the one at the end of the hall. Unlike Yuki's room, I have a window. I could also see everything that happened in hers. I could see her but she couldn't see me. Funny, how two sided mirrors worked.
The first time I felt I shouldn't exist.
I stayed in my quiet sanction for as long as I could remember. There was no need for food or company. After all I was forgotten by my family. I couldn't blame Yuki, she was too young to realize that Rido was the reason for her memories of me to be locked away. But Juri and Hakura have never made an attempt to see me. He's wasn't powerful enough to lock away their memories. Or so I thought.
Wasn't I the precious one?
TIME SKIP
"Kaname!" I softly exclaimed before a small smile etched its way on my face. He was the only one who remembered me.
"Happy Birthday my little flower. I brought you a gift." Kaname stated as he slowly walked over to sit besides me on the bed.
"You know, I don't need a present. Just being here with you puts me at ease." I softly smiled before accepting the gift and hugged Kaname.
