I clench tight onto Jakes warm body. His words keep replaying in my head 'open your eyes this time, it's a whole different experience.'

I slowly open my eyes and look at the trees zooming past us. I see people walking along the sidewalks and cars stopping at stop lights.

I see dogs in fenced in yards. Birds flying in the evening sky. I look up and see the sun going slowly down.

"Wow this is great!" I shout over the loud motor. "Told you so kitten!" Jake screams back. I lay my head on his back and my thoughts take me away.

We pull into a parking lot and Jake helps me off the bike. I slide the helmet off of my head, revealing my helmet hair. I quickly run my fingers through it and Jake just chuckles.

"So is this like a date?" I ask, blushing.

"Yes." Jakes one word makes butterflies bounce around in my stomach.

I smile at him and he grabs my hand. We walk across this bridge intertwined with flowers and vines. We walk up to this old restaurant.
The sign above the door indicating the restaurant is called 'Kate's'.

We walk in the door and no one is here. I furrow my eyebrows in confusion.

In the middle of the room is a table set for two, candles in the middle of the soft pink tablecloth. Jake pulls out my chair and I sit down. I blush realizing this our first date.

"You're so cute when you blush." He smiles and grabs my hand. I shake my head and blush even more.

He whistles and out walks waiters dressed in all suits. They bring us fruits and chocolate.

Jake smiles at me and the waiters walk away. "Jake how did-" Jake cuts me off. "My friend Johnny owns this place and it was closed but he let me have the place to myself for the night." He smiles an grabs my other hand.

With both of my hands in his he smiles, revealing his dimples. His green orbs shinning in the candle light. I smile and he rubs his thumbs across the backs of my hands.

"Aubree, I know I've already asked this once, but I can not stand the thoughts of someone else having you. I want you to be mine and only mine. I will never ever hurt you. I'm not Zack. I..Aubree..I think I love you."

His words take me by surprise but he continues anyways.

"I know that is kind of sudden but you are the first girl that has made me feel happy for the first time. Other girls I've dated only liked me because I'm a supposed bad ass and rebel. Now the real question is Aubree Jane will you please be my girlfriend." He smiles and his eyes get wide in anticipation for my answer.

"Yes Jake. I will be your girlfriend." I say smiling. He stands up and pulls me up with him. He grabs my waist, pulling me close to him. He puts one hand on the side of my face and leans down, placing a kiss on my lips.

He pulls away and we sit down again. "I know this isn't a traditional thanksgiving dinner but I know you don't like eating a lot so I ordered fruit and chocolate." He smiles.

"This is perfect" I say, truly meaning it. I dip a strawberry in chocolate and eat it, Jake does the same.

After we finish our meal of fruit and chocolate we step outside into the chilly autumn air. We walk to a bench under an almost dead willow tree, overlooking the city of Washington.

I smile and lay my head on his shoulder. He kisses my forehead and the sun starts setting. The rest of the evening was just quiet.

I walk through the front door and close it behind me smiling. That was the best date of my life. I think he really means he loves me. I blush and close my eyes, sliding down the door like girls from the movies.

I'm dating Jake.
