I sat next to my little 4 year old on her bed. I began telling her stories about my team. She loved my stories and my team. After I told her the end, I kissed her forehead and said "Goodnight Abby". "Wait can I sleep with you?" She asked.
"Baby you're a big girl and big girls sleep in their bed." I told her. I hugged her and said "I love you". "I love you too Daddy." She said and I left her room. I layed in bed next to my wife, Maddie. "Night Spence." She said kissing me.
"Night Maddie." I said, falling asleep.
~5 hours later~
A crashing noise woke us both up. We ran to Abby's room and were almost shattered. "Mommy! Daddy!" She yelled while a gun was being held to her head. "Let her go." I said pointing a gun at the man. He laughed and jumped out the window.
"NO!" We screamed and Maddie called the police. I sat in the corner and cried. My little girl is gone.
