"Are you ready sweet heart?" My mother asked me. Today is the day I go to Camp Songbird a music camp for the musically gifted. At least that's what is said on the brochure. One month away from home. Spending the whole time in a cabin, in the outdoors, singing campfire songs. I was looking forward to this but, now, not so much. I don't have any friends and I'm to shy or scared to talk to anyone.
"Yeah, I'm ready." I say. It's just one month. How bad can it be? "Ok, let's go."
