I know this may sound a bit selfish, but I'm finally okay. My parents lives are in pieces and I'm ok. Since we go to the same school now, Derek and I are officially boyfriend and girlfriend. Max and I are best friends, we've even had a couple of sleep overs. She marveled at my house and said I was lucky. I think she's the lucky one though. She has parents that love each other. She has a house that's small, but big enough for the four of them. It's what I used to have and what I want to have again. But still, I'm fine. I have a wonderful boyfriend and thanks to Max, I even have new friends. I miss my old life where my parents got along, but I also love my new life. The only problem is....unlike me...my parents are 100% not okay...
