He sat me on my feet once we got downstairs. Dubo grabbed his arm and pulled him aside to the living room. And me being a female, I just had to listen.
"Listen there are two cops outside in front of the house" he said.
"Why?", Colson said.
"I don't know, but all they said was that they were looking for Dawn."
"Why the hell do they want her?" Colson said in disbelief.
"I don't know...".
I was about to say something when I felt someone reach for my hand. I turned and saw no one there. I stepped away from the door, and saw Colson and Dubo leave the room.
" What happened " I said but no one answered me. Colson grabbed my arm and dragged me to the kitchen.
"Dawn, what the fuck did you do?" He scowled at me. I stepped back, surprised that he used that tone with me.
"What are you talking about?", I said trying to avoid his eyes.
"Don't play fucking dumb. Why are there fucking cops looking for you?"
"I don't know and I'm not playing dumb. Listen I'm not one of those whores you mess around with. Look we should just see what they want." As I reached for his hand, he pulled away.
"Yeah and after that pack your shit up and leave. I thought I knew you, but I'm just guessing your just like the rest.
"Colson wait, please." I begged. He took one look at me and he walked away. Just like that, my heart was broken, by someone I thought who loved me. But like he just said. "I'm just like the rest." The rest who get dumped because of an idiotic mistake.
