Dawn POV

"Whats this movie gonna be about anyway?" I questioned the director. I took a sip of my coffee and sat it back down on the table. I looked at the the script entitled Blackbird that a producer put in front of me.

Gina the director and producer hesitated before answering. "You are close to the protagonist. Sorta like an extra, yah know?" She said in a you're-a-nobody type of way. Really? I'm trying not to get in trouble, but people seem to swear up and down and I'm starting to become weak.

"No" I answer with a bitter smile falsely on my face. "Actually, I don't know why don't you come tell me more."

She sighed and shook her head. "Your basically an extra sweetie, okay?". Before I could speak my mind and tell her straight up that I wasn't taking her attitude. Kells walked in and saved that bitch from a beat down.

"Everything good Dawn?"

"Uh yeah. You never told me that I was an extra. Like a person who is barely in the movie. Colson".

I sound like a spoiled brat but it was true. I was told specifically that I would be a singer, who also falls in love with Kells. He looked surprised, and gave her an oh-really look. I'm glad that I had someone who had my back.

"That's not what we had agreed to. You said Dawn would be relevant to me. Help me rise in fame, like right now. Here. Present". I nodded my head in agreement. She just rubbed her temple, and muttered something under her breath.

"Okay, fine can you sing? We need someone to sing on stage with the main character." I don't think I can sing, but lately I started singing in the shower. Caeligh helped me sometimes, too. But to me, when recorded, my voice sounds like a donkey that was kicked in the ass.

I felt nervous, and sang a verse by Rhianna's 'Diamonds.' I felt Colson's stare and it seemed to give me a sign of relief. With him watching and smiling. It made me more motivated to do my best.

'Fine light by the beautiful sea, I choose to be happy. You and I are like diamonds in the sky.'

Now I'm not to going to give you the rest of the song that's a waste of cow maneuver. But what I can give you is all the wonderful comments I got. "Dawn...that was amazing." Colson had told me grinning and winking at me.

"Why thank you. So am I singing or nah?" I asked the producer smirking. If she thought she would place a cheap hoe in my position she could have fooled me.

"Alright you got it. But no funny business you hear." She snapped at me and Colson.

"Hey were partners we could fuck right here and y'all couldn't say shit." Colson retorted back.

The producer looked at Colson, muttered something then quickly smiled. She must've felt my eyes on herself, she quickly turned red and nodded. That's the one thing I like about Colson, people expect him to crawl and abide by the rules. When really he does the opposite.

""Great" was her finally words as she left the room. She whispered something to her assistant, who 'apologized but Gina's says something popped up, and you cant stay here'. We just rolled our eyes, and walked out hand together.

"What was that about?", Colson's says cheeckly.

  "I have no clue".
