My POV
"So you aren't speaking to me?", she turned in shock as if she never met me before. I just had to know, whether she loved me or not. Yesterday she wouldn't even look at me, even if I held her hand or kissed her head. Just stared at the wall, or whatever.
"Whats there to say?", she says coldly.
"Dawn I said I was sorry what more do you want?". I think I never should have said that because she stared at me, and her face was flushed.
"You seem perfect, I get that. We all make mistakes, I get that. But the fact you cheated on me again, I dont have any clue why. I mean you not only nearly lost me, but you nearly lost your kids. Let me repeat that, YOUR kids. Can you at least act like you love me, realize that Im more than just your baby mother. I was almost your wife too!".
"I know, I fucked up I get that-".
"To be honest, I dont think you do. You say you do, but you dont. You say you are
gonna change, so far nothings done".
Our lips somehow met, in a very tense kiss. I couldn't bear to hear her blasting me about my mistakes. She pulled away, gasping for air.
"Marry me" I say ready to pull out the ring.
"Isn't it a little to late? Look at us I think Im better off like Cassie's mom".
"Nope, its never a little too late". I bent down on my knee, and revealed the beautiful 14 karat diamond ring. Her eyes began to water, as I proposed to her.
"Yes!", she cries. She didn't even bother to put the ring on, just jumped in my arms. I knew they didn't know better, but the kids just started jumping around.
She kissed and left me with a smile on my face. No one else in the world, besides my kids, could make me happy. Ashley, Dubo, Slim, all greeted us at once. If this wasnt love, I wouldn't know what love is.
