I awake looking around me and see nothing but rocks and puddles. As if I'm in a cave.. I sit up slowly and look closer at my surrounding. I'm definitely in a cave. I stand up and begin stumbling around in the dim light of a fire in the middle of the ground. I manage to find the entrance to the cave and wander outside. I am blinded by the harsh light that is surrounding me now. When my eyes ajust I stumble back and fall because of the sight in front of me. There is ash and fallen trees and bodies everywhere
"Its awful isn't it?" Says a voice behind me. I turn then choke on my own breath at seeing who the talker is
"But you're.. you're" I stammer out beginning to cry
"Its ok. I'm alive. We're ok Devin" Beth says wrapping her arms around me "everything will turn out fine"
