Poem 26

"I'll always be here for you", is what she said,

With every single tear drop, that I shed.

She never doubted me, she always tried to make things right,

My friendship with her, was very tight.

Her only dream, was for me to smile,

Even if it only lasted, a little while.

She had hope in me, and I knew that,

It's been so long, and there's no time to chat.

I don't talk to her, as often as I used to,

Only because I'm feeling blue.

But I know deep inside, that one day we'll meet,

Even if I have to walk miles and hours, by feet.

Because for her, I'll take any task,

I'll do whatever I can, with no questions to ask.

"Just look at the stars" is what I tell her everyday,

Only to make her feel better, in any way.

Emily, you're my best friend,

You always will be, ti'll the end.
