Despite the disasters that conquered my soul,

I still have my dreams, and body as a whole.

I am still hopeful for a change to come by,

Though I am a bit scared, I surely cannot lie.

Desperate for a better future, a better me,

So I can tell my story, how it came to be.

How this life destroyed me only as a child,

Though through it all, I still smiled.

How I was told I should keep to myself,

And leave the sad part of me on the shelf.

How the world convinced me I was mental,

Yet I was just idiosyncratic and gentle.

How my own family ignores my needs,

How I walk a lonely path, not knowing where it leads.
