Poem 54

I wasn't there, when she disappeared,

This was something I've always feared.

Now she's gone, and I'm to blame,

Without her nothing is the same.

I cried for her, I cried a lake,

I miss her with every breath I take.

She's in my dreams, she's in my head,

I think of her with every tear I shed.

No one can replace her, she's the only one,

But she left me behind, and got me thinking "What have I done?"

It's all my fault, for leaving her on that very day,

My eyes said everything, though there was nothing to say.

Should I follow her footsteps, and cut the line?

Or should I just wait, and everything will be fine?

She's my friend, a friend I won't forget,

I'll always remember, when we first met.
