Poem 48

I'll be there, even if you're waiting for me to drop dead,

Those were her last words, that's what she said.

Before she crept in the shadows, and never came out,

Even when I ran after her, and even when I began to shout.

She just didn't care, and I knew she never will,

But if she decides to come, I'll be standing still.

I thought we were friends, but she left me behind,

Terrible thoughts and feelings, crossed my mind.

I don't know, when we'll once again meet,

But I'll be standing tall, with both my feet.

I won't fall, nor will I runaway,

I'll be happy, knowing she's there for me everyday.
