I couldn't see any staffs, I searched all through the pages. "Now where is this staff?" I murmured. "It's been stolen, for centuries." Tabatha was behind me, I stared at the book, questioning myself. "It's even got a name, the Quest of the flaming Phoenix." She was still standing behind me. "They had believed you were the one," she growled, "you were the one to concur it," she stopped growing, "but I showed them." She gave a weak laugh. "Duke, all of that..... I worked with him, got away with it to! Until, oh until you got all mean and grouchy." She growled, "then poor, poor Rosey, made it out alive, just to be killed by her best friend!" My eyes widened, Tabatha was working against me, "now before I kill you," I was trying to remain calm. Trying to see that this wasn't a test. "I want to tell you something you might want to acknowledge. When I first met Desiree in the woods with herbs. I asked her for one because I had a head ache, but she never shared she said I was her psychotic sister that only wanted to have attention." I had no idea Tabatha and Desiree were sisters! Never! "The moment I saw you, they looked up to you, I knew you would be the star. So I killed you, but as an angel you can only bring one person back to life. So as my punishment I had to bring you back. To never see you would be nice, because as my sister would say I like fame more than family, and man is that true! I take The Quest of the Flaming Phoenix? I'd be on cloud nine, but you, Rose your going to take that away from me!" She was upset, "So now, You've got to die!" She took her sword from her behind her, swinging it up from behind the ground, I quickly turned around, jumping up and tackling her. "You'll never kill me! I'll kill you if it'll be the last thing I do on planet Earth!" I growled, "you'll never do that! Your a coward!" She barked, clawing my back. I yelped and tumbled backwards. "A petty little coward like you would never survive a Demon attack!" I growled,
"With the team, I'll be fine! Especially when I'm Leader of the Five that ruled!" Tabatha stumbled backwards. "You've? You've had that D-D-D-dream?" She whimpered, "You've already hurt me. You've done enough sinning for one day." I growled and Tabatha fell to her knees. "Kiss your Quest Good Bye!" I blew a kiss off my hand and a lead appeared flowing at the wind, so careless, as it touched Tabatha, The leaf and Tabatha had disappeared. I turned around to find Jake. "I was watching the whole time." He had tears in his eyes. "That's where I'm going to." My eyes widened. Jake was so sweet. Innocent why him to? "What?" I whimpered. "Tabatha and I, had one mission. She failed her's and I want to fail mine! You don't belong there! It's just the Quest."
"So I see,"
"It's not what you think,"
"No it's exactly what I think, demons and Angels watch me and have me go through torture just to see if I can handle it and now I hear the story?"
"I'm sorry, Rose"
I snarled, " of course you are! Everyone is!"
Alyssa jumped down from a tree. "So ,fire breath when were you going to originally plan to tell us you were a demon?" She had a cold hard stare on Jake, I was holding everything I had to not cry.
"Never." Alyssa glared, her icy blue eyes laid on him, she didn't even blink. "You cats are so independent, it's disgusting." Alyssa ran and tackled him, "Well if your friends are betraying you wouldn't you be independent?" You could see her breath, that's how cold she was feeling how betrayed she was feeling. Jake was completely silent stunned that she had just done that. It's normally not like Alyssa to go haywire, but she did, today she did. "Go to your home, where you belong!" She said getting off of him and walking over to me, her tears freezing instantly on her face, her skin was dark blue. I had never seen her like that, Jake watched us for,a minute hugging. Then he sighed and walked away. He to had failed his mission.
