I woke up to find myself being shook awake, Jake and Justin were ecstatic. They took our IVs out and helped us up. Alyssa and I were wobbly at first. Justin and Jake were leading us into the woods, while Desiree and Tabatha got out of the van. We walked for maybe half of a mile. They removed a rock from a small wooden door placed in the ground. Lights were wrapped around the ladder. It seemed as if the ladder never stopped. Jake went down first, I went down next, Desiree came down after me, then it was Alyssa, and finally Tabatha then Justin. I was flabbergasted when I reached the bottom. Therians surrounded the place! Lions, Tigers, bears, I even felt the presence of a falcon, that made my eyes tear a little bit. I was hoping someone special would be here. Someone I had no choice but to leave behind. My brother. His name was Linkin. He was a big brother, two years older than me to be exact. We didn't get along most of the time. Once the therian hunters settled we had no choice but to work together. On the way we formed our own group of people. We called this our second family. Although my brother was proven to be Otherkin, a mystical creature. It was safer to send him off with me. My brother is a Phoenix. I love people with the ability of fire, just because it reminds me of my brother. Time stopped for a quick second. My heart took a leap. Tabatha, puppy? It didn't make sense. Then it clicked. I looked back at the group to see that Tabatha wasn't there and she wondered off somehow. It clicked that she was the missing puzzle piece in trying to help me, trying to get the clack back together. To get what was once lost and broken fixed and noticed. I grabbed Alyssa hand and ran down the wooden staircase. Alyssa was clueless and the others tried to keep up. The whole place was fascinating, but I was on a mission. I had to reunite my second family. Tabitha, Alyssa, Linkin, and I were all a family. I ran around the place loosing breath but still trying to find my best friend. My heart stopped and I jumped. Tabitha gasped and threatened if it was a kid named Bobby she was gonna shoot him. I wrapped my arms around her and said. "It's about time I see you in person!" Alyssa was so surprised she fainted. Tabitha gasped and rolled onto her back. I rolled away from her avoiding to get squashed. We both got up and hugged each other for a long time. "I'm glad you guys made it!" She said finally letting go. I nodded my head. Tears swelled in my eyes. Justin and Jake took Alyssa to the nurse. "Why don't I show you around." Tabatha finally said, breaking silence between us. I nodded my head and whipped the tears from my eyes. She started with the cafeteria. The whole place was wood. Wooden tabled wooden silverware, wood was everywhere! I couldn't see the kitchen though.                  " breakfast, lunch, and dinner is served here."  She continued walking. The whole place consist of stairs! We walked two flights of stairs. "These are the cabins, you and Alyssa will share room A113" I nodded my head. The cabins went from A1-B112. "Who builds everything?" I asked, "A group of beavers about 40 of them made the whole place, with some assistance." I looked around like a kid in a candy store, she led me on to the bathrooms. They were nice! Old blankets were cut out, stuffed and sewn for the seat covers of the toilets. The sinks were working. It was just a bucket with a couple cut hoses. Nothing fancy. She continued on, I didn't listen to anymore of it. I actually asked her if I could break off for maybe and hour to check on Alyssa. She nodded. I did check on Alyssa but I could see her in the doorway. Still passed out but doing good. I went to what was called the "suicide heights " it was a square with a couch and a coffee table. Apparently people have killed themselves off the staircase. I sat on the railing and gazed off into the distance. Not knowing what I was in for.
