Chapter 21: Growing compassion Naraku's jealousy

Everyone had already gone to sleep.
Tsukiko was sleeping soundly until, she had a nightmare of the villages that she visited,
She saw the death bodies of the villagers that were slain by Fuyukotsu, which made her jump from her sleep,
She's sweating from the nightmare she had, she looks around and the others were already sleeping soundly, but she doesn't see Sesshomaru, she figured that he may be ourside,
Then she sees Sesshomaru's bloody sash,

Tsukiko quietly left Kaede's house while bringing Sesshomaru's blood-soaked sash, she went to wash his sash even though her wounds still hurts,

"That's better, now how do I dry it quickly? Hmmmm," Tsukiko thought for a moment
"I've got an idea," Tsukiko uses her wind power on Sesshomaru's sash, it only took a moment for it to dry completely,
"Good! Now it's completely dry,.....it's so smooth..." Tsukiko slides her hand on the sash, then she rubs the sash on her cheeks and she giggles,

But then she realize what she's doing an blushes,
"What am I doing!? I have to give this back," Tsukiko searched for Sesshomaru then she sees him sitting on a tree,

Tsukiko went toward him, then she called out to him
"Sesshomaru....is he sleeping?" Tsukiko whispered when she sees that Sesshomarui s closing his eyes, when Tsukiko decided to leave him alone
"What is it?" Suddenly Sesshomaru called out to her, making her flinch
"Y-you weren't sleeping?"
"...I've rarely slept,...so what is it?" Sesshomaru asked again,

"Actually...I came to give this back to you," Tsukiko held out his sash,
"......" Sesshomaru just stares at her from above,
"I-I heard from Kagome that y-you used your sash t-to stop the bleeding, I-I wanna thank you," Tsukiko said and bowed while still holding out his sash,

Then Sesshomaru quietly land in front of her, her head still bowing
"Sigh raise your head Tsukiko," Sesshomaru said and she raised her head slowly,
"U-um I've washed it for you," Tsukiko said and he takes his sash from her hand

"It still has your blood's scent on it," Sesshomaru said bluntly
"A-Ah! Is t-that so t-then I'll wash it again,"
"There's no need," Sesshomaru said as he starts to put on his sash back,
"B-but..."
"I said it's alright," Sesshomaru said more sternly,

Then Sesshomaru realize that her clothes are quite drench, and her face starts to grow red, her eyes seem sleepy,
"Tsukiko...are you?" Sesshomaru placed his hand on Tsukiko's forehead, and it is burning hot,
"You are such a nuisance, let's go," When Sesshomaru pulls Tsukiko by the hand, she stops him,

"Sesshomaru..." Tsukiko called out to him weakly "Thank...you.."
"You kept on saying such things to me, I still don't understand," Sesshomaru said with an annoyed look, but then he felt Tsukiko's grip tightens,

"When we were in the cave....you...saved me..." Tsukiko said
"I saved you? I don't understand..." Sesshomaru said

"The truth is....in the illusion...everyone...died...my father...my mother...Inuyasha, Kagome and the others...and....you," Tsukiko said her voice started trembling,
"I...I was so scared...So scared I couldn't stand it! If everyone....and you disappear, too...I don't know what I'd do!" Tsukiko said finally raising her head,

Sesshomaru was quite stunned to see her crying face,
"Y-you..."
"Ugh! Hiks!..." Tsukiko kept on crying, as for Sesshomaru this is the first time he's lost for words and is unable to comprehend the situation,

"I was killed? Huh! Do you honestly believe that I, Sesshomaru can easily be killed?" Sesshomaru said
Then Tsukiko shakes her head, facing down again "That's why...that's why you saved me.."
"Stop this nonsense and say it already," Sesshomaru said getting a bit annoyed,

"That line...that line you always say to me...was what that saved me....in that moment I realize...that it was all just an illusion...it wasn't real...the real you would never die," Tsukiko said
"In that instant I realize...I want to...I want to become stronger...I want to become an opponent worthy of your strength!" Tsukiko said almost screaming,
