Chapter 42: Broken heart

In the next day, Tsukiko's inside her room opening up her bandages.
"Ow!...hiss...guess it still hurts...," Tsukiko groaned as she opens the bandage,
When she opens it, she notice the scar on her back, she touches it.

But then she finally realized that her tattoos aren't there,
"That's right...last night...they disappear," Tsukiko said "...Wonder what happened,"
When Tsukiko tried activating her light power, it didn't respond.

"Huh?...that's weird....don't tell me..." Tsukiko said realizing something,
"Could it be because I used that power on Sō'unga...?" Tsukiko thought,
"That's right...." Suddenly Akira appeared in her mind again,

"You should really stop appearing in my head out of the blue," Tsukiko said
"You do know that I've saved you many times by appearing in your head 'out of the blue' right?" Akira said
"Fine, fine...so what happened?" Tsukiko asked,

"I guess what you did yesterday really did take a toll on your power," Akira said
"So...I've ran out of power?"
"Yes...at the moment, you'll probably recover it sooner or later," Akira said

"Is that so...? Alright then," Tsukiko said
"Well then...I'll see you later," And Akira left her head,

"Sooner or later...huh? I just hope nothing bad like yesterday will happen," Tsukiko said

After Tsukiko changed clothes, she came out of her room to find the others.
But just as she's about to turn around a corner, she accidentally bumps into someone,
"S-sorry-wha!" When Tsukiko looks up, it turns out she bumps into...Naraku,
His hair's all wet and he's holding a towel,

"Sorry! I didn't see you," Tsukiko said
"It's fine...how's your wound?" Naraku asked,
"I-It already healed, what about yours?" Tsukiko asked,
"Mine was never really serious, so I'm fine" Naraku said

"I see..." Tsukiko said
Then Naraku sees the necklace he gave her, he touches the necklace
"You still have it?" Naraku asked,
"Y-yeah of course, there's no reason for me to throw it away right?" Tsukiko said

When Naraku heard this he had mix feelings welling up inside him.
"...Naraku?...Naraku?" Tsukiko called out to him,
"O-oh yeah...sorry," Naraku said

"Are you alright?" Tsukiko asked feeling worried,
"I'm fine...I was just lost in thought," Naraku said
"Ohh I see...well then you better dry yourself up or you'll catch a cold," Tsukiko said taking a step to leave, but before she could, Naraku stops her by taking her hand.

"Nara...ku?"
"...I need to talk to you," Naraku said
"Huh? R-right now?" Tsukiko asked, and Naraku nods.

In the end the two of them sat down on the porch outside Naraku's room,
Even though Naraku said he wanted to talk, the two of them just sat side by side without saying a word.
"Um...so what do you want to talk about?" Tsukiko asked,
"...Tsukiko...you're in love with Sesshomaru aren't you?" Naraku asked making Tsukiko stiff,

"W-why are you suddenly?" Tsukiko became flustered,
"Well at first I thought this might happen," Naraku seeming a bit down,
"Naraku...." Tsukiko looks at his sadly,

"That's why, I need you to answer my question. Do you love him?" Naraku asked,
"...I don't know...but..." Tsukiko said as she held her chest,
