#JOHN-MURPHY

Pairings: John x Reader
Status: Couple

Storyline: John was asked to prove his loyalty by killing you.

You were blindfolded and couldn't see anything. Your hands were tied behind your back. You were told not to worry. "Y/N, it's okay. Don't worry, I promise you." You recognize his voice; Thelonious Jaha. The ark chancellor. "All I want to know is if I can trust him."

You try to shout over the tape covering your mouth but failed. "Bring him in." You did the best thing you could do; listen to the voices.

"Jaha."

"Murphy." You started moving and kicking as you hear your partner's name.

"Why did you want to see me?"

"I heard you were looking to get in the trails of the City of Lights. Am I wrong?" You never heard Jaha's voice so cold and venomous.

You didn't hear John's answer. Thelonious talked again. "Well, I can bring you."

"What's the catch? I feel like I'm doing a deal with the devil."

"The catch is you have to prove your loyalty towards my alliances."

"How can I do that?"

No one spoke. Instead, a firm grip caught your arms and pulled you out of wherever you were. Suddenly, the blindfold was off. You scream as the tape rapidly rips off your face. "Y/N!"

"I want you to kill her." You shot Thelonious a look, and tears were starting to fall out of your eyes. You then look at John, who was avoiding your gaze. You could see his eyes were glassy, just like yours.

You couldn't hold it anymore.

"John. John, look at me." You pleaded but he refused. "Babe, please." You said, in a small whisper. John slowly turns his head and meets your eyes.

"It's okay. Do it, you'll be free. I want you to be happy, you deserve it."

"No, no." John looks at Thelonious. "I will not do it. You're asking me to kill the only person who I trust and love more than my life. I'd rather lose my freedom than this woman."

The chancellor smiles. "Very good. Free her and let them prepare for the departure." Your hands were free, and you run towards John.

You two held each other. Until it hit you. "You knew. You knew he wasn't going to kill me."

"Indeed."

"Then why?"

Jaha smiles, "I wanted to hear it from his own mouth. Now, get ready we are leaving in an hour."

You were pissed but grateful at the same time. You were going to be free with the person you loved.
