Chapter 11

~Midori~

Corrin left the room sighing to himself. I suppose he was visiting father. Still, I was shocked with the news I heard.

"Kiragi's. . .missing?"

What could have possibly happened? Shigure came into the room looking for me. I prayed that he wouldn't discover my presence because I was still trying to take in all this information I hear. Just my luck, he looked behind the chair and found me.

Shigure chuckled, "I found you Midori."

I came out silently, not knowing how to respond to him. He then caught on to my silence. I was never this quiet unless I was overthinking something.

"What's wrong?" He asked concerned.

". . ." I tried to keep it silent.

"What's wrong?" He asked again with a stern face.

". . ."

"Midori! I'm not going to ask again! What's so secretive that you can't even tell your own brother?!" He shouted angrily.

I broke down into tears. Shigure never yelled at me, let alone anyone!

Shigure's voice softened up realizing what he did, "Midori. . .I-I'm sorry. I'm worried about you! You don't realize how much your silence is killing me! What are you hiding?"

"I'm not hiding anything."

"Huh?"

"Uncle Corrin is hiding something from us! I overheard him!" I told him.

I couldn't contain it any longer. I needed to get it off my chest.

"Why were you listening in on him?"

"I was hiding from you and they entered the room. I think Uncle Corrin is talking to father right now."

Shigure nodded understandingly.

"I know this isn't my business but what is he hiding?"

"Kiragi is missing! Aunt Orochi made a clone of him for the coronation!" I confessed it all.

Shigure had this look of shock. He loved Kiragi like a little brother. I loved him much more than just a close friend. Every time I would see him, my heart would beat faster than normal.

"Come on, let's go see father."

He took me away.

Corrin entered Leo's study room.

"We need to talk."

Leo looked up, "Oh, about what ?"

I barged in, excited to see father.

"Father!"

Not realizing what was about to go down.
