"Hey, just wanted to let you know we are back." Brian Quinn pushed the bathroom door open and stuck his head in.
"Already?" Jacklyn Landry wiped the shampoo out of her eyes and stared at the dark green shower curtain that hung between them. "I won't be long. I didn't have time to go back to my place. I've got a date in thirty minutes."
"A date?" Brian questioned.
"Don't start, Brian." Jackie reached over and picked up the razor she kept stashed at his place. "Look, I'm running late already. I'll be out in two minutes."
"Alright. I'll be downstairs."
She heard the door close and finished shaving her legs.
Jackie really hoped she could get out of the house this time without answering a million questions about her date. Being the personal assistant to four television stars was difficult enough. Add in the fact that she'd been doing it since they started comedy many years ago and things got tough.
Being the only woman in a group of men meant being subjected to their caretaker instincts. Jackie hadn't gotten laid in over six months because the guys always found a way to ruin her dates lately. There was a thin line that they walked between their personal and professional lives.
She turned the water off and reached out for her towel. After drying off, she stepped out on to the rug.
Brian's bathroom was a typical man's bathroom. There wasn't anything fancy. The best thing she could say about it was that it was color coordinated. Jackie couldn't really complain though. Her apartment was an hour away in this traffic and she would have had to skip showering if the guys weren't so open to her using their houses like her own. She kept clothes and toiletries at each of the houses, which made it easy if she ever needed something in a hurry.
Of course, once Joe had gotten married she didn't use his house anymore. She'd have to remember to go retrieve her things from there. She wasn't worried about his wife. Bessy was the sweetest human being she knew. And a perfect fit for Joe. Bessy would understand finding Jackie's clothes and toiletries there. Still, out of respect, she knew she needed to get them soon.
Jackie wrapped the towel tightly around her body and walked out in to Brian's bedroom. She had laid her dress out on his bed before she went in the bathroom, not expecting him to be home from his Las Vegas trip until later tonight. Now, in it's place laid her panties and nothing else.
"Seriously?" She sighed. She pulled the lace thong on and walked into Brian's closet.
All of her clothes were gone. Not even a pair of jeans were left on the hangers. She pulled a pair of his sweatpants and an old sweatshirt out and slid them on.
"I am not wearing this on my date." She spoke out loud to the other clothes in the closet.
She left her towel on the floor of his closet because she knew he hated that. And she thought he deserved it.
"Brian! Seriously? Where are my clothes?" She yelled as she ran down the stairs, holding up the waist of the pants to keep them from falling off.
"I have no idea what you are talking about." His voice came from the kitchen and she followed it.
When she turned the corner into the kitchen, Sal and Murr sat on barstools at the counter drinking beer and smiling.
"Fuck. Really?" Jackie crossed her arms over her chest and leaned against the door frame. "Come on, guys. I don't have time for this. I am late. Where's my clothes?" She looked between the three, who all shook their heads like they didn't know what she was talking about. The shit eating grins on their faces told her otherwise.
