Ch 39

The pack was all surrounding the table. They had arrived late the previous day but they were able to sleep in the apartment. Micky shared her bed with her brother. Lydia, Malia, and Hayden were in the guests room. Hayden taking the air matress. Scott and Liam took the couches of the living room. Micky was glad she was able to get a night of sleep without being afraid.

They were all watching the blue prints of the New York Historical Society Museum and Library. Micky was able to hack into all their security and got the maps before the pack even arrived

"So, let's get this straight. We're going to steal a book from a library museum?" Hayden asked

"They don't let anyone borrow that book. It's an antique" Lydia said

"And we're not stealing it. We're borrowing it without permission" Stiles pointed out

"That sounds like stealing" Hayden pointed out

"It's the only demonology book you can't read online or borrow. Almost all the other books take it as a reference" Micky said "I am almost sure it will have the key of how Clarisse plans on bringing back Zagan and his army of deamons"

"How about the Bible?" Liam asked

"I already read it. There's nothing there" Malia said earning shocked looks from everyone except Lydia who had a proud smirk "What? I read"

"The museum closes at 6. The book is in the second floor. The whole museum was rebuilt in 2011, so the security system is hightly upgraded. Cameras, heat detectors, a whole new firewall" Micky said "I already hacked through it so I can turn it on and off but not all of it, if all the system gets shut down an alarm will go off alerting the police. It has to be by parts and it doesn't last long. It has a different code for each of the exhibits so I need Lydia to help me with the decode"

"Liam and I will go in and get the book and then go out. Malia and Hayden will look out from different streets in case a guard or the police comes. If we het caight, we drop the book and hide it in the street and they'll get it" Scott said

"And I'll be in Roscoe a few blocks away to pick you all up" Stiles said

"Lydia and I will leave in my car, just in case" Micky said "we all meet back here"

"Phones with no sound. Only texts, call only for emergencies" Stiles said

"We ready?" Scott asked. Everyone nodded with confidence "Then let's go"

Micky entered the museum with her bag where she had her laptop. She looked around faking interest in the museum. When no one was looking, she entered the ladies room of the first floor. She locked it and opened her laptop starting to hack everything. It was 15 min to 6 so she had 15 minutes to enter everything. Lydia entered the bathroom a few minutes later and Micky unlocked the booth so she entered with her

"If someone sees us-" Lydia started

"We start moaning making them think we're a lesbian couple and they will leave" Micky said still typing. Lydia smirked

"If you wanted a night with me you could have asked" she joked. Micky snorted

"I'll keep that in mind" Micky said amused

Scott and Liam were also hiding in the men's bathroom of the second floor. They hid until only the guards were left. They had Micky's knives coated in kanima venom and blind folds and ropes. They easily took out the guards not having to use almost any force and they left them in the janitor's closet.

'Cameras shut off' ~Mik

Scott received the text and motioned for Liam to follow him. They sneaked quietly and stood in front of the book which was surrounded by a cage of glass

"They are in position" Micky said looking at the carema live footage from the laptop

"I'll work on the decoding" Lydia said taking the laptop and typing away. It took 2 minuted before she finally said "done"

'Heat detectors unnactive' ~Mik

Scott received the text and brought out his claws, he made a circle in the glass and took out the book

"That was so Mission Impossible stuff" Liam said amazed and Scott smiled at him

"Yes!" Micky cheered when Scott took the book

Liam and Scott walked back to get out but Liam stumbled with the carpet and fell over another exhibit knocking out some paintings

"I'm so sorry" Liam said. A silent alarm was activated. The police would be there in 5 minutes. They had to get out fast

'5 minutes to get out' ~Lydia

Micky was working on erasing any trace of her hacking. Scott and Liam ran out the back door. Micky had no time to hack the downstairs cameras so there was still a footage of them running away. Lydia and Micky had to take the air vents

"This is gross" Lydia said

"Keep moving" Micky said from behind her. They got to the end and Lydia pushed out the cover of the vent

"There's a garbage box down there" Lydia said

"That's good. Jump" Micky said

"But it smells horrible"

"Lydia!"

"Fine. Fine" Lydia took a deep breath and jumped down. Micky jumped right after and they got out together "I swear that book better be worth it"

"I agree" Micky huffed and they started walking towards the streeyd from the alley. Suddenly lights were flashed towards them and about 4 men aimed their guns and them

"Put yout hands up!" An officer said

"Shit" Micky hissed and raised her hands. Lydia also put her hands up

"We weren't doing anything wrong" Lydia said. Two men came and hand cuffed them. Another one took Micky's bag

"What are you doing here?" An officer said

"My girlfriend and I just wanted some time alone. We lost track of time and used the air vents so we wouldn't activate any alarm" Micky said

"It's true. We hid in the ladies room so no one would interrupt us" Lydia said

"We'll see about that. Right now you have to come with us"

The rest of the pack were a few blocks away in Stiles' jeep aka Roscoe. They had gotten them

"What now?" Hayden asked

"We get back to the apartment. They'll call us when they can" Stiles said

"What if they go to prison?" Liam asked

"They won't. Micky erased any trace of her laptop. They will have nothing on them" Scott said

"So what do we do now?" Malia asked

"We sleep the night and read that book in the morning. We still have a witch and an army of deamons to stop" Stiles said driving away
