"I'M COMING!" A tired Jake shouted, probably waking up the other boys. That is, if the person at the door hadn't. The barrage of noise stopped immediately. Jake pulled open the door.
There was a girl with pale skin, black hair and purple eyes (contacts). Jake's eyes widened as he and the girl stared at each other.
"V-violet?" Jake stuttered. Violet launched herself at him, encasing Jake in a huge hug.
"Jake, I was so worried when you just disappeared it took me forever to convince the foster people to tell me where you were and--" Violet blabbered into Jake's shoulder. Jake pushed her off and held her at arms length, smiling brightly.
"I'm extremely glad to see you, Violet, but..." Jake's smile turned into a frown. "It's five in the morning."
Violet grinned sheepishly.
"Well I got to town, and I couldn't wai--"
"Jake, who's at the door?" A grumpy voice came from the top of the stairs. Jake let go of Violet and turned around.
"Oh, Xion, you scared me." Jake said with a small laugh and blush. Xion was shirtless. "Uh, this is my friend Violet..."
Jake turned back around, and was surprised with the sight of Violet, looking terrified. Behind him, Xion let loose a growl.
"I-I'm sorry, I didn't know this area was claime--"
Jake was slammed into the door and suddenly Xion was on the porch, holding Violet in the air by her throat. She clawed at his hand.
"XION!" Jake shouted, rushing forward and pulling at Xion's arm. "Let go!!"
"She's a vampire, Jake." Xion growled, keeping his yellow eyes locked on Violet's red face. Jake punched Xion's side.
"I said let. Go!" Xion's eyes flickered down to meet Jake's and, with a sigh, he let Violet fall to the ground. Jake rushed to her side and helped her up, giving Xion a glare. The older male was leaning in the doorway, looking bored.
