My heavy eyes shot open. I tried to move but I couldn't. I tried lifting my arm with all the strength I had, but it wouldn't bugde. It just sat there.

My chest felt heavy, as sweat dribbled down my forehead. I looked down, to see Link snuggled under my arm.

His arm draped over my bare chest, as the fluffy, white sheets surrounded us in a sea of warmth. I watched as the raven-haired man's lanky fingers quickly twitched. I figured he was dreaming, so I slowed my breathing to allow him to rest. I gazed at his back as it lifted with every heavy breath.

I slowly snuck my hand out from underneath his sleeping body. I carefully traced my fingers over every bump, every bone, every vertebrae on his slender back. I rested my head against the pillow, and continued to trace my fingers over his back, drawing random squiggles and swirls.

I mindlessly began to trace symbols lightly on his skin.
