I sat at my kitchen table scrolling through my phone. My mother had called me downstairs because she had important news to tell me. There was a knock at the door, my mother opened the door eagerly.
A tall man with grey hair entered our house. "Carter, this is Chris. My fiance" I stood up from the kitchen table and shook his hand. "It is very nice to finally meet you" The man smiled kindly.
"Oh, and this is his son Andrew. Your new stepbrother" An even taller man stood behind him. I tilted my head in his direction. A pair of familiar blue eyes met mine.
"You can call me Andy... oh I think know you, you're name is Carter right?" I nodded awkwardly, my eyes widened with surprise. How is this even possible? "How do you two know each other?" My mom asked. "We go to school together" Andy smirked.
Out of every man in the world, my mom just had to pick the man who just happened to be the father of the biggest asshole in school.
