Be careful what you wish for,

For wishes can come true,

Because a wish is but a wanting,

A thing the Universe must do,

And to do is always dangerous,

For through do mistakes are made,

And your wish that was a wanting, can become an early grave.

Be careful what you wish for,

Because once the die is cast,

There are no returns to sender,

No hiding in the past,

For you've chosen a new future,

One that never should of been,

And your wish that was a wanting, can become a mortal sin.

Be careful what you wish for,

Because power is never yours,

It's teeth are sharp as daggers,

It's heart a golden door,

It shows you what you wish to see,

A future bright and fair,

So that your wish that was a wanting, can become a gilded snare.

You see, a wish is never simple,

No matter how it seems,

Whether a frog into a Prince, or a pauper to a Queen,

There must always be a price,

For prices must be paid,

And the price of future wishes,

Are past wishes now unmade.
