Just One Day

Falling in love with her was effortless. I didn't notice any of the "signs" most people talk about. The way people described love hitting them was like a tsunami, changing their life forever, hit me like a nice sunny day, not noticing the change in weather but melting into the warm embrace.
All I know is that one day her smile made my heart skip a beat. Then the next day hearing her say my name was like a drug.
Day after day something changed. It started with small things. Loving the way she said my name and wanting to be around her more. Then it turned into her lips being more tempting and me wanting to hold her.
I never thought it would be her. If you would've told me a year ago I'd be in a happy relationship with my best friend I'd wave you off. But now? Honestly now? I don't think I can see myself with anyone else.
Yeah, love didn't hit me like a tidal wave, it hit me like a sun ray, and honestly? I would've have had it any other way.
