Chapter Three: Maria

~Dream World~ {Nightmare}

What the hell?! I asked myself.

One minute I'm in the hospital room and then the next, I'm here?!?

PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS A DREAM!

I was nearly in tears. I need to be there! I have to be there!

Let me out of this hell hole!

I saw light.

GO!

I ran towards it. I stretched out my hand to reach it.

Nearly there! BINGO!

~End Of Dream~ {Nightmare}

I woke up.

"Gah!" I gasped for breath then looked around.

"Alecxis, it's ok." Max was sitting on the edge of the hospital bed. I noticed a bundle of blankets.

"Is that?..." I asked.

"Yes. She's born." Max handed the bundle to me.

I looked down and saw a little girl, sound asleep.

Now I remember. I was in the hospital because I was going about to give birth to my child.

"What shall we call her?" Max asked gently.

I was a bit nauseous but I answered.

"Maria. Her name is Maria." I replied.

Max nodded and we kissed, being careful not to wake baby Maria.

My body felt weird. I mean, I did just give birth to a baby girl. Anyway, I'm so happy.

*Knock knock*

Max got up and opened the door. Standing out side our room was James, Ren and Julia.

"Hi." Ren greeted.

"Hello guys!" I half whispered half said.

"Alecxis, are you ok?" Julia fussed over me and my baby.

I can't believe it. I'm a mother. A real life mother.

"Hello? Earth to Alecxis?" Max waved a hand in front of my face.

"Wha?" I asked in confusion.

"My mom asked you a question." Max was looking at me with concern.

"Oh. Sorry, Julia." I apologized to her.

"It's fine. I was just asking if you were ok." Julia repeated.

"Yeah. I'm ok, just a bit nauseous." I replied. I looked down at Maria. She was still sleeping but this time, there was flowers all around her.

"Looks like her magic has already kicked in." James stated.

"True. And it's Nature Magic." Max added.

"Um.. Excuse me?" a nurse was standing behind the others. "Can you please leave and let Mrs Powers rest for a bit?"

"Oh yes. Of course." Ren said. Julia and Ren left, followed by James. Max got up to go too but I caught his hand.

"Max?"

"What is it Alecxis?"

"Do you think what the leader said will be true for Maria?"

"Well, yeah. I mean, we're both one of the most powerful magic users around. So it would make sense for Maria to be strong too."
