Chapter Twenty: Ghoul Life

Without hesitating, I jumped down, my Kagune already out.

"Alecxis?!" Aidan seemed surprised by my arrival. After all, I did run away from him.

"Hey, baka." I smirked. Aidan didn't know Japanese so, SCORE!!!!!!

"What?"

"Never mind, baka."

"Shut up, girly. You shouldn't have come here." one of the male ghouls growled.

I laughed and muttered something to Aidan, in another tongue.

Without warning, all five ghouls jumped and tried to hit me from all directions.

"One thing, NEVER CALL ME GIRLY!!!!!" I yelled, dodging each and every attack with ease.

"Food shouldn't talk." a green haired ghoul snarled.

"Then don't talk." I hissed back, shooting my Rinkaku through the green haired ghoul's heart.

Aidan was using his hands because he doesn't have any type of Kagune and also, this is a non magic using world, which sucked for my brother.

Since the other four were concentrating on Aidan, I took this as an opportunity to eat. Not like a normal meal, ghoul flesh. 

Honestly, cannibalizing other ghouls isn't great but I'd rather do that then target innocent humans. I CAN eat normal food like chips or chicken or whatever you eat, but I still need flesh every month or so. Like a ghoul with coffee. 

I ripped the arm of the dead ghoul off and sank my teeth into it.

"Mmmm." I threw it down, wiping the blood from my mouth then turned to Aidan. He was doing just fine by himself, though he couldn't kill the ghouls, just hold them off.

I bashed into a black haired ghoul, sending him flying.

"Sorry Aidan." I said, keeping my eyes on the ghoul.

Aidan nodded.

"Stay out of this, girly. We'll deal with you once we've eaten this pathetic human." the black haired one told me, a smirk forming on his face.

"Call me that again, and I'll kill you. Actually, no. You called my brother a pathetic human, you'll die either way." I growled.

"But a ghoul can't- You're a half ghoul, aren't you, girly?" the third ghoul asked in a low voice.

"Took you long enough." I said, my Ukaku Kagune was now crystallized. I shot a barrage of crystallized shards at remaining ghouls

Aidan ducked low, just in time too.

I managed to hit two of the ghouls. One straight in the heart, an instant kill and the other in the arm and side of his body. He was still alive but Aidan shoved a blade through the guy's stomach and pulled it up, cutting the male ghoul's body in half.

I high fived Aidan, getting blood on his hand.

"Oops." I said, grinning. I'm turning full ghoul now so after we take care of the last two ghouls, I'd probably go on a ghoul killing spree.

The two ghouls were now fleeing.

"This makes it more fun..." I smirked, running after them. Aidan was not far behind me.

"Boss! Their gaining on us!" an blue haired ghoul shouted. {Not Ayato.}

"Keep going!" the black one yelled back, gaining momentum.

"Not so fast." Aidan said, catching up with the blue ghoul.

I caught up with the leader and punched him in the back of the head.
