"Look at me, Frostedflower! I'm gonna be the best warrior in the forest!" Cinderkit squealed as she pounced on a ball of moss she had been playing with with Breezekit.
The soft gaze that had been in Frostedflower's eyes turned to a look of disapproving as hard and cold as flint. "No, Cinderkit."
Cinderkit sat up and looked at her mother in confusion. "What do you mean?"
"You will never be a warrior."
"B-but why not?"
"It's against Clan Law. No she cat is permitted to be a warrior. No matter how much they disagree with Clan Law."
"Well that's dumb! I'm going to be a warrior, and no one can stop me!"
