Chapter 2

Beep, Beep, Be-

Déjá Vu much?

I groan once again slamming my alarm clock and I glance wearily at my window remembering Riley lives next door and I need to go curtain shopping today with someone, maybe Maddie. I walk to my bathroom and do my morning rotiune, when I'm out I walk to my wardrobe and decide to dress differently. I put on ripped skinny jeans, a white V- neck and a black cardigan with my white converses. I head downstairs and greet my family. "Hey guys, I'm gonna walk today. I'm also gonna grab an apple." I say as I head out the door.  Before I go I hear them say things along the lines of, 'okay, love you'. I start to walk down the side walk and I hear a loud engine I turn to see Riley on a bike, and he is smirking at me. "Hop on." he says and I laugh like, hyena laughing; and I really don't care that I probably sound like a dying donkey because he is crazy if he thinks I, Carter Kaloki, is getting on that death machine. "Stop laughing." he pouts and I smirk. "This is so cliche'.The bad boy has a motercycle and what's crazy is that you expect me to ride on it!" I say laughing as I continue walking. "Hop on, Carter." he says more sternly but I laugh shaking my head. I hear the engine come closer and I turn my head slightly to see that he is matching the speed on his death contraption to my walking. "Riley, Riley, Riley, you're crazy if you think you can make me get on that death machine. I'll just walk. So head to school, you'll be late fooling with me." I say looking at him and he smirks, he gets off the bike and walks towards me looking scary as heck. I back away as he advances and I think, Is it really time for me to die? I'm so young! dramatic I know, but that's just who I am. I back up while he takes steps forward, smirking and I feel my back hit a tree. Stupid tree! he advances me and towers over me like a predator does it's prey. He leans in and kisses my neck and it burns... but in a good way if that makes sense. "Get on my bike Carter." he mumbles against my neck. I shake my head. "N-no." I stutter and he laughs. "Guess I'll have to do it the hard way then." He picks me up and throws me over his shoulder, I scream as he walks closer and closer to his death machine, I pound on his back, but he doesn't even flinch. Stupid ripped body. I look up and I see Carla my sister in our shared car.  "Carla Dear sister, help me he's trying to murder me!" I yell towards her and she smirks, winks, and yells out of the car. "Have fun!" and I flip her the bird. How dare she?! Now I really am going to die. Riley sits me down on his bike and hands me a helmet, I glare at him and snatch it out of his hold,

I strap the helmet on and he gets on the bike. I cross my arms over my chest and glare at the ground. He looks back at me and smirks. "Aww is Carter mad?" he tilts my head up with his finger and I bite it. "Ow! did you just bite my finger?!" he exclaims and I smirk, while he glares at me. "Maybe, Maybe not, Rye Rye." I say and he glares and starts the engine I flinch, and I just know he's smirking. "Hold on." he says and I don't but he advances the bike forward a little and I scream and hold onto his toned stomach for dear life, he chuckles and were off  to school.

We pull into the school and when he parks, I jump straight off. I see that all people of the school are gawking and I roll my eyes. Stupid people, need to mind their own business. I walk to my locker and open it, not before it's closed by the one and only Bethany Marsh. I glare at her and she glares right back. "Stay. Away. From. Riley. I saw you on his bike this morning on my seat,  I'm supposed to be sitting there." she spat and I laugh. "It's not like I wanted to get on that death machine, you can have Riley for all I care." I say glaring at her and she smirks. "Good now, stay away from Riley." she says and before she walks off I hear a voice, "Why should my girlfriend have to stay away from me?" The one and only Riley says and Bethany turns around and glares at me. "Girlfriend? No. She's so ugly and pathetic, so why would you like her?" Riley wraps his arm around my waist and leans in to kiss my cheek but whispers against my skin. "Just go with it." my breath hitches and I just nod. "You wanna know what is pathetic? You making a fool of yourself by acting like a psycho, jealous, bitch." Riley says and I gawk at him. How could he talk about her like that, not that I care, she deserves it, but from what I've heard, Maddie says that Bethany was one of his flings. Bethany glares at me and I smirk wrapping my hand around Riley's waist. She storms of pushing anyone in her way.
I pull away from Riley as does he. "That was epic." I laugh, and he just chuckles. "See you later girlfriend." He winks and I stand there gobsmacked.

After, I composed myself from Riley's little show, I headed off to class and people all throughout the day stared at me, which was really weird sense I'm not spared a glance, except by my two friends. Anyways, I'm now headed for lunch. When I reach the cafeteria all eyes are on me and it's silent, I get tired of it so I do something that's not like me and yell, "Get back to your own lives people, nothing to see here." With that, everyone goes back to their business but I still get a few glances but oh well, nothing I can't handle. I grab my lunch and go sit with my beloved friends. "You rode on a bike with Riley, How was it?" Ryder questions.  "Riley is your boyfriend, Omg details!" Squealed Maddie. "Oh, I heard how Riley told off Bethany for you," Ryder says smirking, "Guys, Guys! stop with the questions, I'll explain all to you." For the next ten minutes, I explain my morning to them and when I'm done Maddie is the first to speak. "He totally likes you." she squeals and I roll my eyes. "Never in a million years would that happen." I say and she rolls her eyes also. "He so does, you just don't see it you're too stubborn for your own good." she says. I roll my eyes. "Oh by the way, you wanna go curtain shopping with me today?" I ask
her and she looks confused. "Why?" she questions. "Uhm.. I may or may not have mentioned Riley is my next door neighbour and his room is right next to mine." Maddie looks at me and squeals. "This is fate! But why would you need curtains? You could see him shirtless or you could seduce him." she says like it's the most obvious thing in the world. "Maddie. That's the thing. I don't want to see him, and I don't definitely, don't want him to see me, so therefore, Do you wanna go curtain shopping with me?" I explain, she sighs. "Sure, but if I were you I'd leave the window without curtains." she smirks and Ryder just rolls his eyes. "Of course you would." he says and then smirks when she slaps his arm. "Okay curtain shopping after school it is." I say happily finishing my lunch.

"Ooh I like this one." Maddies says pointing to a black lacy top. We were currently at the mall in a little clothing shop, After we got my curtains. "Yeah, it's alright." I reply looking at her. "Hey, lighten up. I kinda said you would come to a party that I got invited to so.. you need to shop also." I look at her shocked. "What?!" I exclaim earning glares from the people in the shop. "Suprise?" she says pathetically. "Why am I friends with you again?" I ask defeated. "Because you love me?" She asks rather then states. "Yeah keep telling yourself that." I reply sarcastically, looking for an outfit for a stupid party I didn't even want to go to.
