The Boy Across The Lake (BoyxBoy)

Ooh just great!

"How do you manage to get so dirty?" Zach half shouted at his best friend who stood on the other side of the Dipping Dots stand in a coat of brown mud. Both Zach and his best friend, Corey, worked in their local zoo. Zach was only a server at a Dipping Dots stand while Corey worked with his childhood pets and other small critters in the zoo.

"I'm not entirely sure myself to tell you the truth." the slightly shorter boy replied as he pulled a large leaf out of his, would be, light brown hair. "I mean one second I was just feeding Albrone-"

"What haven't you learned Corey about trying to feed him!!" Zach interrupted as he sighed at his friends idiotic behavior.

"Well...I've got nothin." Corey shrugged in defeat as he pulled a stick from his shoe

"Why can't you just listen to me!" Slightly mad as the day, as usual, was slow and boring as the stand I was stationed at was behind the amphibians house so non of the zoos visitors came around to keep entertained, "maybe you would have a boyfriend if you listened or maybe even another friend!"

"I still have to do feedings and also I need to take Gil out, so I'll be back in a bit." Zach could tell he crossed a line with his friend as Corey had difficulty with making friends never mind getting a boyfriend. His problem was that not only does his looks put him below average with brown eyes and brown hair that snuggled onto his oval shaped head but his array of pets, most of which consumed things of night mares like cockroaches and mice, put him on the list of creeps. Zach had only become friends with him after a conversation at a staff meeting which he realized how caring and nice he really was.

"Don't leave me here too long I might die of boredom!" Zach shouted as his friend made his way towards the Reptiles House. He sighed as he pulled out his phone since almost no one gets the shitty, whatever its made of, he's selling.

"I'll take four large blue and black" a sweet voice said interrupting Zach's game of temple run.

Without looking up he starts to prepare the order and says "Sure thing sir." when he does look up his jaw drops at the the sight in front of him.

"Hey...you alright mate?"

Zach shut his mouth and nodded quickly. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine sorry about that, I'm just kind of a big fan." Zach said nervously. He continued to make Liam Payne's order -yeah, that Liam Payne- and tried to make a bit of conversation since Corey still wasn't anywhere to be seen.

"So, what's a world famous boy like you doing here in this small, crappy town?" Zach asked, scooping the last of the small dot things into the large cups that Liam asked for.

"Actually its all four of us. We kind of just wanted a break you know? We've been traveling a lot; and like you said we are popular so if we were to go to any regular vacation spot we'd be swamped with loud fans that were vacationing in the same place."

Zach scoffed at the thought as he placed the last large cup down on the small counter.

"That'll be fifteen dollars. So for a vacation you decided to go to a basically unknown town in the lest talked about area of the us?" Zach asked, watching as Liam scrunched up his face in thought.

"Well we all were searching the internet for a place that seemed to be interesting enough to go to but yet not enough for tourist. What made us decide here was actually that louis' girlfriend, Eleanor, had inherited a house up the road from where were staying on the river so we decided it would be a cool place to visit as Eleanor had always bragged about how awesome and beautiful the town was." Zach felt his eyes widen and he froze knowing exactly what cabin he was talking about and because of his sheer stupidity.

"Huh, sounds interesting I guess. Enjoy." Zach said, handing Liam both his change and Dip n Dots.

"Thanks, hopefully well meet up later and you can meet the rest of the boys aye Zach?" Zach laughed and nodded. He exhaled a breath as he watched Liam walked away. Wait a second how did he know his name? More importantly how was he gonna deal with a group of attractive boys living next door to him and probably swimming in the river they shared?

"Hey Zach what's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost!" Corey came running over wearing a cleaner uniform, for the moment.

"You know, I have never met anyone with worse timing than you." Zach glared at his friend.

"Hey don't get snippy with me our else you might go back on the list!" Corey threatened even though both knew It was nearly impossible for him even stay mad at someone for more than two minutes, "Why? What did I miss?" he asked getting back to the problem. Smiling ear to ear Zach explained everything.

"Wait, they're going to that cabin?"

"No Mr.Peters cabin!" He joked as everyone knew everyone in their small town making a question as Corey's stupid.

"Well good luck to you on that one. I've got to get home and feed Jaguar before she tries to eat Tom AGAIN" Corey stated before turning away to leave.

"Ooh no you don't! You're gonna do me a favor" Zach said sly.

"And that is?" He whined knowing what was coming.

"You're gonna take one of your animal friends around the zoo see what their up to" Zach said non chalantly as if stalking strangers was normal for them which was partially true when it came to boys.

"So you suspect me to stalk your boy crushes for you? No way!!" Corey put his hands up in fake disgust and turned to leave.

"Fine I'll get Harry to do it!" Zack said pulling out his iPhone faking to push buttons as he knew his friend would give. You see Corey had never been to fond of Harry even though he's never very vocal about it. It's probably because he fears I might replace him if he crosses an non existent line.

"Fine, but it'll be done MY way" Corey smirked as he headed down a path through a path they made through the under growth that leads to the reptile house.

"Where are you going?" I questioned worry bubbling inside of me.

"I better call in for back up on this one" only one creature in the reptile house made even the most experienced reptile handlers at the zoo need back up, Brutice...

Corey is obviously me as I can't stay clean and hate being clean!!! I mean my jokes are also very dirty! Well anyways who do you think Brutice is?
