Corey's Pov

I still can't stop thinking about how he brought up how I'm unable to get a boyfriend or even friends. It really stung as that's how it's always been for me, I've dated one person all the way back in 6th grade and I'm now 18! I kicked a stone in the path as I moved down the worn down trail moving off of memory lane as I entered the employees entrance in the back of the Reptiles House.

"Hey Corey I thought you were done for the day?" My co-worker Ben asked.

"I thought so too." I mumbled back "I'm gonna go on a stroll with one of the reptiles just to let you know."

"Alrighty, just be careful." he said as he went back to doing what ever he was doing before.

I walked along the endless cages that held a large number of exotic reptiles until I stopped at a large door with the label on it "reticulated python" which we had named Brutice. I scoffed at the thought of bring him out as he may easily attack any one. I was just messing with Zach by making it seem I would be taking him out, instead I moved over one to a much smaller door which held Macy our residential corn snake.

My mind wondered as I picked the two foot snake up to see if I truly was that bad. I mean I knew I wasn't as good looking as Zack with his jet black hair and stunning green eyes, I wasn't as built him and I was around three inches shorter than him! The only thing I did have over him is an expanding knowledge of animals... maybe I should change.

Zachs POV

I waited impatiently outside the employees only door behind the reptiles house to stop Corey from bring Brutice out as I don't want Liam or anyone to be eaten! The door swung open and literally grazed my back as I walked past.

"Corey! Why the hell would you bring out..." I stopped in confusion as instead of a 16 foot monster around Corey's neck a small light red colored snake happily snaked to his shoulder.

"What? Did you actually think I would bring out Brutice?" He laughed heading off with me on his heels.

"Umm... No I have more faith in you" I lied catching up to him.

"Liar, don't you have work to do?"

"It's not like anyone's gonna ask for that disgusting shit, plus I need to make sure you stay off of my man!" I laughed trying to patch things over. He stayed silent for a moment worrying me of the damage I may have done.

"If you're so worried than hold Macy." he picked up the snake named Macy and gently place her on my shaking shoulders.

"I'm not sure Corey." I said staring at the snake.

"Just one sec." I turned my attention to him as I heard a loud splash. Not really to my surprise I saw my best friend in one of the many ponds around the zoo.

"I didn't mean that!" He shouted between laughter as he clambered out not only soaked but covered in mud.

"Yeah but I wanted to anyways." he nonchalantly said taking the snake from my shoulders "Lets see me steal your man now."

"Yeah good luck with that!" I joked as we turned a corner to the penguin exhibit and saw them "There they are! Go get 'em"

"Yeah, yeah" he sighed.

I watched as he first stopped at a lady in her mid-30's with her young daughter.

"Small town?" A voice said from behind me.

"Sure is" I laughed recognizing his voice. I turned and saw Liam and his band mates Niall, Louis, and Zayn "So how's the zoo"

"Good so far especially since it's missing the screams of fans" Liam joked "Guys this is Zach he works at the Dipping Dots stand back there" I waved as they said hello.

"What are the little dot things?" Niall asked in a heavy Irish accent.

"I'm not sure myself." I said scratching my head.

"Is my job done?" Corey asked from behind me.

"Yeah first let me introduce you." I stepped aside allowing full view of my mud coated best friend, "This is Corey everyone he also works here."

"Hello." Corey shyly said as he swayed back and forth uncomfortably. No one answered as they all stared mouths open "Well I better go." Corey mumbled and quickly moved towards the Reptile house.

"Wow..." Liam said.

I sighed as i turned back towards them after Corey finally disappeared "I know but he's really nice and smart it's just he can't keep clean."

"That was very rude of us to just sit there and stare at him." Zayn spoke for the first time "We should apologize." they all nodded in agreement.

Niall snapped his fingers and said "I know, why don't you two come over later so we can apologize to him and also to just hang out!"

"Yeah, why not? Zach you in?" Liam said.

"Ummm..."

I know the parts I did are obvious as they suck! But away from my talents.... Ummm.... What do people say in these thingys? That's it whoever actually reads this leave me a comment telling me how to do this!!
