"Chen is such a freaking asshole," I said, pissed.

"Yep," Tox agreed.

"I mean, he's makin' us fight each other later because....?"

"No clue. It's his sick form of entertainment."

Tox sighed. "I don't wanna fight you later."

"Well, too bad. Chen ain't gonna let you just quit without a fight," I said. "It's him or me."

"I'd rather it be him."

"Why?" I asked. I wasn't expecting that answer.

"Two reasons. One, like you said, Chen is an asshole," Tox began.

"Yes, he is indeed."

"Two," she said, blushing slightly, "I don't want to hurt you."

"Sweetheart, I don't wanna hurt you either," I said.

Wait a damn second. Why in the name of the First Spinjitzu Master did I just call her "sweetheart?"

Tox blushed. "Sweetheart?"

"Uh..." I bit my tongue, to not say anything else that's downright idiotic.

My face turned reddish. Oh my god. Why me?

"L-like you? Yeah," I said, trying to keep my cool. I mentally cursed myself for stuttering.

"T-that's funny..." Tox said. "I-I mean, because I like you t-too..."

I'm pretty sure I had the complexion of a tomato right now. "Y-you do?"

"Heh... Yeah..."

I lightly pressed my lips to hers, sweetly, but quickly. She was flustered, but hey, that's how I roll.

"ATTENTION! WILL THE MASTERS OF POISON AND SHADOW PLEASE REPORT TO THEIR ASSIGNED ARENA TO PREPARE FOR THIS EVENING'S MATCH!" Chen blared over the loudspeaker.

"He is such an asshole," Tox laughed.

"Yes, he is indeed."
